I was looking through my Bible and I came across this passage that I had marked. And it was about the Israelites trying to go to battle without GOD being with them...which was a huge mistake. You may ask what happened? Well, they decided to go up and fight against 2 groups of people--the Amalekites and the Canaanites. Moses warned them that since GOD wasn't with them they would lose, but they wouldn't listen. So the next morning they went into battle and came back defeated by their enemies. (Numbers 14: 39-45)
This Bible story points out the same truth that JESUS CHRIST tells us in John 15: 4-5--- Abide in ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in ME. I AM the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in ME, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without ME you can do nothing.
