This Saturday just past (the twelfth of April, 2008) my son and I got a chance to visit some friends in the North West of England.
I met these guys for the first time before Christmas, they spend a lot of time handing out tracts and street preaching. Previously I'd run into them online, and they were very helpful when I was praying for my husband and son's salvation. But I only got to "know" them properly over recent months.
They interviewed me about having been involved in witchcraft for so many years, and then I had an opportunity to interview my little lad about being a Christian. It's always interesting to hear what kids think about their faith, and I was surprised to learn a few things about my son's experience so far. For example, I never realised how scared he was of breaking the news to his step Dad about his change of faith!
Anyway, here's the video. Let me know what you think.

I've recently moved house, and am now in a more "obviously" Christian area than the one I used to live in. We have local churches which are in use, and neighbours who would call themselves Christian.
But I've noticed that we've also had a church taken over as a mosque, and that there are lots of hallal shops and businesses around. It seems like Christianity is declining, while every other religion you can think of is increasing. Example... my son wanted a plain cross to put up on his bedroom wall. You'd have thought that would be easy enough to find. But no... folks were even offended when I went in shops and asked if they sold such a thing as a cross. One guy informed me that he is a Buddhist, and doesn't sell "Christian stuff." I asked him why, therefore, he was selling satanist and witchcraft stuff.
This made me open my eyes and look round... and it dawned on me that apart from the churches, there are no ostensibly visible Christian reminders in my neighbourhood at all. There are plenty of suras from the Koran visibly displayed in various shops and businesses, the Eko Unkhar of the Sikhs, but no Christian businesses displaying Scripture. The majority of teens now are either athiests, or pagans of one stripe or other. Islam and Wicca are both growing rapidly, while Christianity is declining.
We no longer live in a Christian nation... and most of us have missed the change. This is the view from the UK... what is it like in your countries?
Pray for the people of Britian.
