Ten Shekel Shirt\'s early success included a #1 radio hit (Ocean) and a Dove Award nomination for their debut album (Much). After the release of the bands second album (Risk) the bands front man, Lamont Hiebert, decided to put his music career on hold to co-found the organization Love 146. This award winning charity provides aftercare services for rescued child slaves and helps prevent child trafficking. Now that the charity is established with quality staff in the US and S.E. Asia Lamont has reformed the band Ten Shekel Shirt and released a new album called Jubilee that features many songs dedicated to victims of modern-day slavery and exploitation.
