I am a survivor of domestic violence and started this group as a place where women can gather to share their ideas, help each other out and to show the world that with God's help we can be strong enough to say NO MORE and walk away from the violence. Three out of four people know someone who is a victim of domestic violence. Aproximately 33 million US adults admit they were a victim of domestic violence.Among all adults 39% say they experienced one of the following: Called baded names 31% Pushing, slapping, choking or hitting 21% Public humilitation 19% Keeping away from family or friends 13% Threatening your family 10% Forcing you to have sexual intercourse without consent 9% (Based on July 2005 US Census 223,000,000 total adults over age 18) Abuse is a pattern of coercive control that one person has over another. Battering is a behavior that physically harms, arouses fear, prevents a person from doing what they want. domestic violence can happen to anyone of any race, age, religion or gender. It can happen to couples wjo are married, living together or just dating. it effects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and educational levels. If you think you are in an abusive relationship please call the National Domestic violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. Please remember God does not want us to be in a relationship that causes harm. he wants us to live in perfect peace and love. "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you walk pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you." Isiah 43:1-2
