I don't think atheism and agnosticism are mutually exclusive - in fact I think there is a whole lot of overlap. As I interpret them, atheism deals with what we THINK and agnosticism deals with what we KNOW. I don't think there is a God so I'm atheist, but I don't claim to know for sure so I'm also agnostic. What about you? I see that you became a Christian this year. Cool. Why Christianity and not any other religion? Do you believe it to be more 'true' in the absolute scientific sense, or 'better' in the subjective moral sense?

That wasn't too long, some answers are not whole if they're short. I'm not sure exactly what i believe on the whole subject, but i aqree to asking questions. We were given brains to use and knowledge helps with personal growth. I like that this sight has many people with different anglles to bring to the discussions

it should........but Should is the key word. well basically i said i was not an evolutionist. I dont discredit its theory (that is what is still, it has Just been around long enough to get stuck). I quit like the idea that life evolves and becomes bettter adapted to surroundings. But i dont bother much with trying too hard to wrap my brain around something I believe a HOLY GOD created whether it be by 6days 6millions years, evolving or not. Not to sound as if i like to live in the dark but more FAITH based. As a Christian though i dont look at anyone who wants to study that route as BAD like some do. We are curious and that can be good or bad. If I keep my eyes on Jesus discussions about evolution,atheism, and such are a bit easier. But still sometimes i want to just say FOR REAL!!!!!! are you serious. anyway tht was a long answer sorry. |

I think the comment count went up one, but i still cant see the comments. Am I perhaps blocked? I used the sx word a couple of times but only in such things as a.exual. I can enter other discussion just fine

I had seen a lot of 'dropped' comments a few weeks / months ago, but it had been relatively reliable in the recent past. Maybe they've made a change in the code or the process that hasn't been completely ironed out yet. I work with software, and this happens all too often... |

Hey goofy. Yeah thanks for the comment. But even if I decide to get baptised, who do I get to do it. Do all churches use the same text for baptism? I like the church I'm at now, but I think my husbands family would love his uncle to do it for me in their church as he's a pastor himself
