A.B. Simpson writes,
"Our unbelief is always wanting some outward sign. The religion of many is largely sensational, and they are not satisfied of its genuineness without manifestations, etc.; but the greatest triumph of faith is to be still and know that He is God.
"The greatest victory of faith is to stand before some impassable Red Sea, and hear the Master say, 'Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord,' and 'Go forward!' As we step out without any sign or sound - not a wave - splash - and wetting our very feet as we take the first step into its waters, still marching on we shall see the sea divide and the pathway open through the very midst of the waters.
"If we have seen the miraculous workings of God in marvelous cases of healing or some extraordinary providential deliverance I am sure the thing that has impressed us most has been the quietness with which it was all done, the absence of everything spectacular and sensational, and the utter sense of nothingness which came to us as we stood in the presence of this mighty God and felt how easy it was for Him to do it all without the faintest effort on His part or the slightest help on ours. It is not the part of faith to question, but to obey....."
Minister Joe Wright when asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate prayed:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children, and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography, and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, O God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin, and set us free. Amen"
You're my strength when I am weak.
You're my hope when I am down.
In my anxiousness You are my peace,
The compass for my soul.
When I wait upon You, Lord,
You open up the door
That leads to opportunities
And blessings held in store.
You're my song when I am dry.
My refreshment when I'm stressed.
In my time of need You are the Rock,
The shoulder I lean on.
As I seek your best for me,
You give encouragement
To put my trust fully in You,
And follow where You lead.
There is nothing that I face,
That the riches of your grace,
And the power of your holy name
Brings triumph to my soul.
So I give You all the thanks,
You're everything to me.
Your love is so amazing, Lord,
I just can't help but sing.
You're everything to me.
You're everything to me.
Your love is so amazing, Lord,
I just can't help but sing.

I am your sheep and You are my Shepherd, You supply all that I need.
You make me lie down in green pastures, You lead me beside quiet waters.
You restore my soul and lead me in paths of righteousness, For the sake of your name.
I am your sheep and You are my Shepherd, You supply all that I need.
And though I may walk through dark valleys, I know that no evil can harm me;
For your rod and staff are comfort to me, Assuring my soul that I'm in your care.
I am your sheep and You are my Shepherd, You supply all that I need.
When right in the enemies presence You prepare a table before me.
You anoint my head with oil and with joy, My cup overflows with blessings from You.
I am your sheep and You are my Shepherd, You supply all that I need.
I know that your love and your goodness will follow me all of my journey;
And I'll dwell with You right there in your house. Forever I'll live to worship your name.
I am your sheep and You are my Shepherd. You are all that I need.

There's healing in the name of Jesus,
Healing in the touch of Jesus,
One touch of His hand will lift you
Body, mind and soul.
Believe Him that His power will free you.
Praise Him for His mercies toward you,
Thank Him for in love He longs
To make you fully whole.
Just one touch of the Master's hand,
Just one word He has full command,
Have faith in what He wants to do
That's all He asks of you.
There's healing in the name of Jesus,
Healing in the touch of Jesus,
One touch of the Master's hand,
He'll make you fully whole.
