Nun2Be: The most recent and the current head of your Roman Catholic Church, The One You Use To Call "The Holy Father Pope John Paul" and The One You Now Call "The Holy Father Pope Benedict" worship Mary. I seen their Idolatry. Jesus Christ said himself - I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. (John 13:17) -- The Leader(Master) of your church, the Pope worships Mary and your serve the church. And the very fact that you call these men "Father" is directly against the teaching of Jesus Christ! ---- "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." (Matthew 23:9) ----- You called my act, disrespectful to the Church. But clearly the "Church" breaks the word of God/teaching of Jesus Christ. I not judging anyone, I'm just telling you what I see and what the word Of God says and I make it hear.

PLUS, GOD is the only who says: "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." GOD said that to Moses. Daniel 8:17 - Daniel does not worship Gabriel. It says: As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. Daniel was afraid of what he was seeing and in fear he dropped with his face on the ground (prostrate). There is no where it says Daniel worshiped Gabriel. Mark 9:4 - Jesus Christ can talk to whom ever he wants. That's not a valid point. --- Look for more reasons to pray to Mary because you have yet to justify yourself biblically.

CatholicDeacon: Asking someone such as a friend or family to pray for you is not worship. But praying TO a heavenly being, Earthly Being or any other being and praising, glorifying, respecting and honoring them is worship. That's what I've seen many Roman Catholics doing. According to the LORD Jesus Christ we are to worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23-24) Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. (James 4:10). Jesus Christ tells you how to worship! But the Catholics break commandments so that they can follow their traditions. Jesus Christ said himself - And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? (Matthew 15:3). Stop praying/worshiping Mary. You dress in very fancy robes and have lots of diamonds, gold and precious stones but Jesus Christ said it best: You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. (Matthew 23:27) I say, just follow the word of God and stop following men. A lot of the Church doctrine was created by men. Follow the word of God and Christ only! It is written: Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes. Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Mix her a double portion from her own cup. Give her as much torture and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, 'I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never mourn.' Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. (Revelation 18:4-8) AMEN!

CatholicDeacon: I will never avoid scriptures. I used my bible dictionary because I wanted to see if Catholics worshiped Mary by the definition of the word. I also figured that some people would not care about my bible dictionary, so I decided to use a dictionary outside my bible. I've looked this up myself. I seen Catholics prayed & worshiped Mary and they prayed to her in both senses of the term. The Pope himself worshiped Mary. I've seen it. He and other catholics paid higher honors to Mary than Christ. The father wants to be Number one in your life. Love the Father will all your heart, all your mind, and strength. Have no gods and/or idols besides him. Deny yourself and follow Jesus Christ. By following Jesus Christ, you will worship, pray, do everything right. Prayer to Mary, even if its asking for intercession is idolatry/pagan. Can't the father hear your prayers through Jesus Christ? YES. You said: -- Just because YOU call it worship does not makes it so.-- I don't just call it worship. My bible calls it worship, and the Merriam Dictionary calls it worship. But most importantly my BIBLE calls it worship.

CatholicDecon: You say that catholics don't worship Mary, you just pray to her. Well, lets look up the difference between "Pray" and "Worship". According to my bible dictionary, the word "pray" means "to talk with God". "Worship" means "to give praise, honor and respect to God". If I use a dictionary outside my bible the word "Worship" means "to honor or reverence as a divine being or supernatural power" and "pray" means "to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving". Now you see, catholics do pray to Mary, but by definition you also worship Mary. End Of Story.

No servant is greater than his master. Just how Jesus Christ was mocked and hated, so will his servants be. But rejoice, for GREAT is your reward in heaven. Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you and do not hate them. Revenge is for the LORD. Amen.
