I am a non-denominational Christian now. Up until about 2 years ago, I had been a Jehovah's Witness for 20 years. Their motto from John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" is quite flawed! By saying this, I don't want people to think all JW's are not loving, because there are some very loving ones. But a majority have a problem with sincere love.
Even though I had been a JW for 20 years and supposedly well-liked, when my mother(who was not a JW) was in the hospital for 17 days dying a horrible death, except for literally a few of them, none of them were there for me with support.
That was really the beginning of the end for me not wanting to be a JW. I did not want to be part of anything that showed such disrespect for one of their own.
When I found the church and friends that I have now, the difference between them and the JW's, in the love department, was amazing!
I PRAISE GOD so much for having mercy and patience with me until I let my mind fully open, to see what the JW's really were and for saving me from them!! :D
