Fruit

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you�unless, of course, you fail the test?
As a kid I always struggled with taking tests. I could study for days, memorize all my notes, show up for class feeling totally confident that I was going to pass with flying colors, and then bomb big time on the test. I couldn't explain it. I tried my best but my best just wasn't good enough. I think one of the reasons why I didn't try so much in school as I got older was because I was fed up with trying and failing. Believe me if I had it to do all over again knowing what I know now. I don't think I would have given up so easy. We all hate taking test's, Their just an inconvenient part of life. Because they require preparation and preparation takes time. And we have got tons of other things we would rather be doing. But tests are necessary. we need test's to show us how much progress we have made, how much we have learned and as in this verse whether or not we are in the faith. How do you know your in the faith? God's word says to know one must truly examine them self. How do we do that? Well by comparing how you live to what you read in the BIBLE. How well do you match up? Do you look anything like what God's word says a child of God should look like? Jesus says in John 15:8 This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Are you bearing fruit? You know what the fruit is don't you? In case you forgot, here's what it looks like Galatians 5:22-23a But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. So how well do you match up? Is there fruit in your life? If your a true follower of Christ then show yourself to be his disciple and bear some fruit.
