Pot holes

John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
It's funny how our faith can kind of be like driving. We love it when we get in the car and can cruise down the road and just enjoy the ride. No traffic, no potholes, no problems. But then there's the days when it seems like everyone is going where we are going, the road is bumpy from all the work being done on it, traffic at times is at a stand still. These are the times when we don't like driving so much. These are the times when driving can well, drive you nuts! Our faith can be like this sometimes, we love it when everything goes the way WE feel it should, there's no bumps in the road, no unexpected surprises no potholes. But lets be serious, Jesus never promised us a perfect ride. He warned us that we would have problems. But he also promised us His peace in the midst of or problems. Yes in this world we will have trouble. But like Jesus said in this verse, take heart! I have overcome the world. If you are struggling with something in your life this week know that if you got this e-mail from me that I am praying for you. Not just in your struggles but in your good times as well. May God give you peace this week and help you be an overcomer.
