That last blog entry...funny thing, God had a different plan! Let me just say, "Praise be to God!" As college draws ever so near for my youngest and while I was stressing and wondering what God was thinking...just when I thought everything was "set in stone"...God changed a heart and a direction! I am so excited that God led the way to better things! My daughter returned from her missions trip to Alabama and told me she had to share something and "hoped I wouldn't be upset". Anytime a teen tells you that you begin to think...oh no, now what?! While on her trip God revealed His desire for her to stay at home and attend a local junior college (that she had opposed for sooo long!) instead of attending a distant public university (party school!). She "hoped" I wouldn't be upset!!! Let the praise party begin! I was blown away! Thanks for providing a way, LORD, when I had ceased to think things were going to change, You came in with a better way! Thanks, LORD!

Well the last couple of days were spent going to orientation for my youngest as she prepares to go off to college. The LORD has a funny sense of humor, me turning the big '50' and sending my youngest off to school the same year! What is He thinking?!

I think I've walked 10 miles in the last 2 days. I am tired physically, emotionally and spiritually. The parent sessions, hmmm, I KNEW I wanted her to go to a Christian college! How did she end up here at a public university? Why are we hearing about the "alcohol problem" on this campus!? Why are there stickers on the bathroom doors about date rape drugs and %%@%ual assault?! WHY ARE WE HERE, LORD? I am burdened...even more so with the "sticker shock" of college! I am paying for her to come HERE!? I know the LORD has a plan and I am looking to Him, trusting, falteringly so at times, but trusting.



Speaking of burdens, my prayer list of late has grown quite lengthy! Cancer: Mary, Teri, Kathy, Randy, Bobby,and Gene! Did a miss anyone? Then there's Jerry and Penny with their other illnesses! All serious, all in need of the Healer! Jesus, I've experienced your Peace, your Presence, your Power and your miraculous healing!!! I KNOW thru experience what pray can do, please, LORD, come alongside these dear folks and lift them up, strengthen them, heal them and lead them through this trial, confident in your promises and your faithfulness! Thanks, LORD!
