*****I just wanted to write a few words about this movie that I have posted. The movie is about 95% complete. I have a final version that has better sound and a little more animation*****
I was outside playing with my soccer ball about 2 months ago. I had just finished having an online discussion about God. I remember that I came away being frustrated because of the things that I was hearing. People misunderstandings of the bible were getting to me. It can be frustrating when you want people to see something that to you is so plain, so evident, so true, but in the end they simply dismiss it.
I remember thinking if I could just say something or explain something in a way that would encourage them to think. So right in the middle of kicking my soccer ball, this movie was just kinda dropped into my heart.
As it was running through my mind I couldn't resist making it. I ran inside and began sketching out different images that were coming to me. I had planned for it to only take a week, However it turned into 2 months of the most intence work that I've ever done. It was also intended to be used strictly on myspace and in the religious forum that I frequent, but as I was making it I realized there's a much bigger audience that this can reach.
The message in it is clear. For those that don't know, this is referring to the second coming of Christ. While the real event will be more fantastic and a 100 times more frightening then my little movie. I believe that what's shown can speak volumes to the heart of the believer as well as the nonbeliever. This movie was made because of my desire to help people to get to know God. To help people to consider even just for a second because these things are so true. I understand that not everyone will pick up a bible, but maybe, just maybe someone will watch this movie and come away with a desire to want to know more.
That is my hope.
May God bless
