As days pass by silently, unseen, ignored, and abandoned, the only hope mankind has Jesus our Lord. Who will redeem us O Lord, is my cry. Yet I know that He is by my side. God never changes and it is our attitude that changes every now and again that shows the unchanging God changing.

If all the ones who call themselves christians were true christians;
If the christian attitude reflected" I've got nothing to lose in this world;
If every christian in every part of the world bowed his/her head in revernet adoration and worship of the Lord at one time;
If doctrines and denominations were kept aside;
If kneeology preceded theology;
If marriage was honoured in all and the bed undefiled;
If miracles and healings were underplayed and salvation proclaimed;
If our light so shone upon men that they would glorify God;
If we took care of the underprivileged and impoverished;
If we did unto others what we wanted the others to do unto us;
If a nation found and formed under God still be under Him;
If our actions spoke louder than words;
If we had our former love restored;
If we strengthen the things that are ready to die;
If we make our commitment fresh and renew our thoughts;
If we fall at His feet and ask of His forgiveness;

Then can't we see the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

Father Thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.

My Faith and my Belief

Posted on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 09:58AM.

I thank God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for giving me this privilege to stand in this congregation and testify for Him. I ask God for His forgiveness as I went astray for a while I was blinded from the heavenly vision and was caught up in this world. I am thankful to the Lord who led me through those troublesome periods and has actually brought me back into His sanctuary. I want to share one of my recent experiences. I attended an interview for the post of an editorial team lead. This was the final round. The CEO who was the same age of me asked me what kind of books I read. When I answered that I read a lot of Christian literature, he was surprised to know that I was a Christian. The result anyone can predict. Why does this happen to Christians? I was brooding on these lines, whenever we take a strong stand for the Lord we are rejected and I praise God for that because every time we are rejected, the scripture is fulfilled. We can liken a born-again Christian to a mirror. Whenever the unbeliever or the gentile sees a born-again Christian they see his/her reflection in the born-again’s face. The marks of sin, hatred and undesired things of a sinner come to the forefront. The unusual calm and the hope that a believer radiates is bewildering to the unbeliever or the gentile; therefore they call it arrogance and we call it assurance. Yes, we have an assurance; a hope that is lively and living; this is what differentiates us from the world.

The Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is a much discussed issue among the gentiles today. Unfortunately, we have lost focus on what is God’s power. The apostle Paul says that The Gospel is God’s power to the one who is being saved. The reasons for why we have lost focus on the Gospel are many. Before we understand the reasons let us know what people call us: intolerant, narrow-minded, negative-thinkers, pessimists, superstitious, impractical, fools. Let us also understand what they think they could do to us for granted: beat us in public, tear the Bibles and trample them, harm us and go scot-free.

We need to understand who the people are that do these things to us: Romans 1:

There is a void or a vacuum in a true Christian’s heart if he or she doesn’t share the Gospel. Furthermore it is an express command from God that we should share the good news with the world. But how do we share it? Before we share anything about the gospel we are bundled up or beaten and handed over to the authorities. We come back defeated or dare not to repeat the same again. But in Galatians Paul says: Am I pleasing men or am I pleasing God, if I am pleasing man then I don’t belong to the body of Christ. Why did Paul take such an extreme stand? Is it because the Lord appeared to Paul that he was able to take such a stand? Even today the Lord speaks to us as a man would speak to his friend, face to face. But are we listening to Him? Are we giving heed to His words? His word is life. He has life and He has come and made Himself known to us so that we have life in abundance. Paul says: Woe unto me if I do not preach the gospel.

I will start with the same question in my mind. Why have we lost focus on such a great task? There are certain questions we fail to answer. There are some who try to superimpose themselves on God and His Son Christ with their human intellect. What we know or all the medical authorities and scientists know about man’s brain is peanuts. Can we then measure or question the origins or authenticity of such a magnificent God who transcends all our understanding and wisdom. Just imagine a man standing at the foot of a mountain or at the very edge of a beach. How does he feel? He feels powerless before these colossal cousins. The mountain with its never-yielding and never-shaken attitude almost reaching the skies and the ocean with its unfathomable depths, both pose a very huge challenge to the man who appears infinitesimal before two of God’s creations. If man is nothing in front of God’s creation what is he before the Creator who has spread the entire universe like a mat? This very God wants us to be back in His realm. He wants us to be in fellowship with him. He wants us to take His identity. Alas we listened to His voice! Hope not so easily abandoned, He still has a few faithful, which the world calls names, who have heard His voice. He commands His faithful to proclaim the message in modern terms make the mankind aware of its Creator. In spite of all the efforts, there is none that believes this report not even one that heeds to His voice. Doesn’t a father want his son to be with him? Is this not legitimate? Doesn’t an owner expect his things to be with him? Doesn’t a friend want his friends to stick to him his life time? If these are legitimate in our sight, then God’s expectations are more than legitimate. He is a father, friend, creator God, the Alpha and the Omega. He is our beginning and our end. Who will reveal such a wonderful God to us? It is God’s only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who can reveal the Father God to us. He has revealed God the father to us and has asked us to carry the news unto the ends of the nations. This very news we call GOSPEL. Our gospel is “God made Himself known to the world through His only begotten Son.” The Son reconciled the world unto the Father through His death and resurrection. He took up the sins of the people and paid the price on the cross for my, your and everyone’s sins. Therefore whoever accepts Him, accepts God who had sent Him and thereby is judged righteous. So we ask all the peoples of the nations to come unto Him who can set us free from the pangs of death and give us eternal life. For in Him is all life and gives the same eternal life to all that ask Him. He has won the battle on the enemy, Satan the father of lies, who makes people believe that he is non-existent. This liar wants everyone to perish like him in eternal hell fire. For he transgressed and trespassed and lost his divine nature, because he can’t stand against the Most Holy God, he took the revenge on mankind by binding them in sin and therefore taking them to death. Where as God’s Son redeemed us from the sinful nature and we are not bound by the same passions and sins anymore, so the devil has no say on us. To make man not to accept this, he has devised so many schemes like: polytheism, monotheism, atheism, nationality, castes, and religions. The liar has kept people under a strong delusion that their reprobate hearts no longer yield to the word of God.

This is where a Christian buts in. This is an express command of God and no true Christian would dare to transgress against the Lord’s command. Therefore a Christian is bound by this duty and responsibility. This makes the Christians to go around preaching Christ to those who don’t know Him. This is what the popular society calls conversion campaigns or proselytizing. They say they are hurt, because they are hurt; they attack; they torment; they handover these hapless Christians to the authorities. The offenders then go elated and the victims are scourged. The popular society is appreciated. But how many of us understand that this is a spiritual war not a physical one. What a Christian does the most is to try bringing the lost back to God and introducing Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour and the Coming Judge of the world. So every one belongs to my family, God’s family. Many of them are under the control of the enemy and we are a few and we want the many to come into our family and know their true heavenly Father. This flares our sentiments, beliefs, traditions etc. a careful observer notices that all these weapons are triggered against Christians, Christianity, and Christ in whatever name they are administered. But as long as a Christian wants to live a victorious life he has to proclaim the gospel and it is the power of God to the one who believes.

What is man that has breath in his nostrils that Thou art mindful of him? Observes the psalmist. Our life is ephemeral, temporal, but the life after death is eternal. Accepting Christ or rejecting Him decides your eternal abode. My friend if you have found a way that gives you an assurance of some goodies after your journey on this earth, I dare not challenge your beliefs, but as a Christian I want you to understand or at least know that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins as well. He is the same today, yesterday and forever. He lives as he lived 2000 years ago. If you suspect don’t ask me or any other Christian. Ask him. Ask him, “Jesus Christ, are you real?” He will answer you the very moment you ask Him. Then you will understand God’s provision for your life.

Heart's desire 5

Posted on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 01:27PM.

Since I was a child of God
The world hated me with all its heart.
But I know that they too are his creation,
Too bad they don’t know the heavenly vocation.

Every man glorifies in himself,
Knowing not when his soul leaves his self.
Yet they boast of tomorrow,
Without the Lord, is full of sorrow.

Their eyes are blinded n consciences seared,
That they go lusting after dumb idols unfeared.
They forget that God gave them a spirit,
A temple and house of God is it.

There waits hell with gates open wide,
Grabbing souls with eyes never satisfied.
Yet there are not a few who know this,
But go after it and miss the heavenly bliss.

What a pity to see such iniquity,
Mankind’s ready to lose its entity.
You and I are God’s chosen,
For the Word of God has spoken.

Believe in the name of Jesus,
Relieve yourself of your sin and excess.
For he shed his blood on the cross,
Accept. You and I never see a loss.

Many are there who speak against us,
Fear not for his blood has redeemed us.
They are their father’s sons,
that liar, The devil, Satan’s ones.

Do know not what they do,
Yet boast that their service is true.
Fret not; for them awaits hell,
Wouldn’t heed they to the warning bell.

So let’s pray as we live,
That we like the oil of olive,
Lit the world with true light,
Show them the heavenly site.

This is a Call for all Christians,
Renounce your earthly passions.
The Lord is near and Him we fear,
Let’s be near and his true children dear.

Hearts desire 4

Posted on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 01:24PM.

Lord! Remind me,
That every temptation is a battle,
It’s not time for me to rattle.
It invites me for a time of prayer,
Casting upon you all my care.

I take part, every week, in thy table,
Yet my life rocks and is unstable.
Woeful and disgusting is my fable,
Lord! Rescue me, you alone are able.

Your body for me you broke,
Least understand I such a stroke.
On the cross you shed thy precious blood,
I drink it only to mix it in mud.

Father! Forgive me. This unrepentant son,
Ever learning, never yielding ungrateful one,
Your mercy alone can set me free,
Of all my guilt and hist’ry.

Neither man, beast nor the fish of the blue.
Father, but I have sinned against you,
I am unworthy to be called your son,
Accept me as the least among none.

How can I bear that loving embrace?
How can I show this sinful face?
Father forgive me this unworthy son,
Restore me the joy you had given.

Hearts desire 3

Posted on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 01:23PM.

O Lord! Intense is my day,
That I find no time to pray.
I start my day in great haste,
To end it in such a waste.

Weak, worn and tired I come home,
To retire on floor or foam.
I have sought not Your kingdom,
I’m lost in literal boredom.

Help me overcome this trouble,
For you not even a mere bubble.
Strengthen my arms n my heart,
Gimme another fresh start.

So that I wake up to praise You,
Glorify and adore You.
Fill my mouth with Your words,
To ward off the verbal swords.

It takes time before we reap,
The seeds of hard work with sound sleep.
Hours of sweat, tears and toil,
All puzzles, traps and teasers uncoil.

Songs of success will our walls sing,
Every step we take bring,
Access, excess, success that cling,
In everyman’s ear it shall ring.
