Jeff and Misty Deese were married on December 17th, 1994. As young Christians, they set out to answer the call God had placed on their lives. They were both youth and drama leaders at their church and decided to also start their own ministry. God led them to form a group called Potters Clay in June of 2002. This ministry consisted of a drama team as well as a praise and worship team with 7 core members. Their unique style of worship opened many doors for them. Through the years it has grown to the current size of 16 members. From the very beginning, Misty always said she wanted to minister to the people nobody else wanted. The group set out to reach people who had never heard of God. They wanted to reach people with addictions, demonic spirits, and sickness. The name Potters Clay is inspired from the groups theme song, Potters Hand by Hillsong. The wanted to be molded, shaped, tugged, and formed by Gods hand so people would see Gods power and not see them. They have a variety of praise and worship songs and dramas. They accept donations but do not charge to minister, and trust in God to provide their financial needs. They are willing to travel anywhere God leads them from Africa to China. One of the ultimate visions for this group is to open a home in the near future for struggling young families, young adults, and teenagers that have nowhere to go and need guidance. Isaiah 64:8.
