FROM HALEY VILE: Yolondo Lupoe's Traveling with God...The Lessons Along the Way, is powerfully fueled by this truth. Every insightful quote, scripture reference and photograph artfully places God as the essence of her journey. Through this, she does nothing less than captivate her reader's imagination and sense of adventure, taking him whole-heartedly along for the journey.
Yolondo's talented ability to reveal God's paintbrush in the face of a farmer to monumental structures, vividly portrays her heart for inspiring passion in others to see God glorified. Each chapter is sprinkled with pivitol statements of truthful prayer, which challenge the reader to question God's personal relevance and standing in his or her own life. Although I have never been to Italy, as I "traveled" with Yolondo, her relatable nature called me to alter my perspective to one which willingly seeks God's heart in daily circumstances and situations. This spiritual journey was taken amidst the beautiful backdrop of Italy, seen through a camera lense unique to one seeking heavenly wisdom.
Having been on the missions field, I have experienced the difficulties and frusterations that come with crossing cultures. Traveling with God humbled and encouraged me to slow down and and seek to see God's fingerprints which shade every situation with patience, grace and eventual awe. Yolondo expresses this with every aspect of her shared journey, not only portraying it's relevance to the beauty of Italy, but to wherever we find ourselves at the given moment. As one pursues the Creator who truly surrounds us, we can genuinely say that we are lovingly encompassed by His unceasing faithfullness regrdless of where life's journey leads us.
