John McCain- What does bein... added: 10 days ago
"...if we vote Republican, we are endorsing people who will not make the poor, the widows, and the orphans their first priority" Why is it people continue to repeat this? Because Republicans prioritize the business environment that makes this the greatest country on Earth with the best health and social services to include welfare available to all of its citizens, especially compared with the rest of the world, they are constantly attacked as uncaring. Where does it say in the Bible that the government is supposed to care for the marginalized in society? We all are commanded to care for the poor out of our own conscience and bank accounts. It is not governments responsibility. God also warns of consequences of poor choices. Some wish to score political points by taking personal responsibility out of the picture for people's choices in so many situations and circumstances and substitute their government safety net solutions. We do have a responsibility to the poor, widows, and fatherless, but I believe God rewards faith - helping those who help themselves through facing their struggles with positive faith, not blaming others for their struggle.

It is historic that Barack has become the first black candidate to receive the nomination for a major political party and I celebrate this achievement. But I don't believe liberals would recognize Collin Powell or Condalisa Rice with the same fawning euphoria as they do Barack Obama. We all want peace...why is it liberals always seem to think peace comes through wishful thinking, while conservatives believe it comes through willful action? Peace comes through strength and those who've faced life's struggles with faith and perseverance know it. Those who would rather sit back and hide, wish or complain away their struggles end up falling into the mercy of a fascist tyrant willing to offer them only temporary relief from their fears for eternal bondage on their livelihoods. I believe John McCain understands this through his experiences in life. Barack, though inspirational to listen to, from the policies and positions he stands for, seems yet to come to understanding. If equality is the goal, he should expect to face the fires of scrutiny as any other candidate and we should not disrespect him by giving him a free ride to the top of the free world. Don

I actually believe both of these men are Christians, and believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who has redeemed us all from our sins. However, that does not mean they are both the same in their quest for the Presidency. I believe with all my heart that our current President answered the call to SERVE in his role instead of relaxing on his Texas ranch. Let us pray that the man who wins this election is also called to serve and not seeking it to serve something else inside them. We are all called to serve through prayer and fasting at this time, and once the President is sworn in. That is what we will do if we seek to walk in Christ.

The rest of the world, Tony0123??? Would you have us serve the rest of the world rather than our conscience and more importantly our Heavenly Father??? What has the rest of the world to offer anyway? Take a look at socialist Europeans... over 1500 years of looking for peace and safety and rarely embracing the truth. Wars upon wars against each other over the centuries - in fact one went a centruy between the French and English. Always looking for peace and safety, never being able to get there own continent protected from the whims of fascist dictators. Last century alone, they looked to Americans who they routinely dismiss as rejects, cowboys, fools, to save them from two world wars and the communist spread across most of Asia... What, pray tell do you or the rest of the world expect us to gain by your wisdom? This country is the first founded on Christ. We have never been perfect, but how about a little respect and perspective. We each have faced our struggles to make it to where we are or also where we are not. When you can show me something the rest of the world is proud and secure in other than thumbing their collective noses at the only country where people actually want to come to, then I'll listen.

The speaker is correct we need holiness and repentance, however, there are many broken vessels on this earth who have been denied a reason to live. They suffer having never experienced real love from a parent or family member - our words must do more than warn them that they will suffer without Christ in eternity.. .they must be measured to give them a reason to live one second in eternity. Tell them they are valued and that they are worth Christ\'s suffering, as much as you tell them how terrible they are for causing Christ\'s suffering.

Way to keep it real - excellent storyline - showing the true frustrations we all go through in life as Christians, coming to the understanding that He is there with us too, and we'll never be alone, no matter what.

Great job guys! Love to see some creative new ways to express the faith. You used some contemporary themes (The Office- Reality) and didn't take on too much for the time you had. Again, super job!

Very powerfully done. Great job. Keep learning the craft! I love the contrast between the two older guys: worshiping one's career goals vs. taking care of our closest relationships.
