I was married to a wonderful man for 24 years when the Lord took him home after battling Brain Cancer for 1 1/2 yrs. We have 3 wonderful sons, 26, 23, 20. He got to see 2 of them graduate high school and was Best Man for our oldest son's wedding. He got to see our middle son play college basketball. After grieving and lots of prayers, I met another wonderful man on line Christian dating site. He also was a widower and has 2 boys; 22 and 9. We hit it off and talked on the phone daily for hours (when time allowed!). We lived 4 hrs away and we talked for about 3 mos. before we actually met. We would have devotions and pray on the phone every evening. Being married to a Christian was important for both of us. He is a minister and I was the church pianist and our Love of Christ was important to us!!! We prayed that when we met, the Lord would let us know if this was right and if we should continue. Within an hour, after we relaxed, we knew. We prayed before he left to go to the motel and when he came back over to my house to have breakfast with my boys the next morning; we knew. The next time he came up, a month later; we were engaged!! Oh, yeah!!! We got married 6 mos. later. We have now been married for 1 1/2 yrs and have a wonderful marriage. His church family has accepted me with open arms. We have started an Awana Kids Club and it has brought in some new families to our church. We are seeing great results and children getting saved and seeing their families attending church as well. PTL!! Things do work together when God is present. My boys have accepted him and his have accepted me. I now have 2 beautiful grand daughters. My late husband didn't get to see either one of them; but I know he knows them. Michaela was born 8 mos. after he died and Alexa was born while Fred and I were dating (3 mos. before our marriage). I am generally a happy person and love the Lord totally. I don't know why I have gone through the things I have, but I know that without the Lord; it would not have been possible. I know that Jesus carried me more times than I could count.
