My mother died in 2005 after Dad and Mom got hit by a car while they were riding their motorcycle. My Dad and Mom had been married 40 yrs at that time. Their marriage had it's ups and downs, their marriage had just gone through a big healing time and it was the best it had ever been. So when Mom died Dad went through so much emotionally. Knowing my Dad I knew he would need someone special to come into his life, that he could share the rest of his life with. <br />

I started praying for him in that area, it was hard at first but it did become easier with time. I was praying for a woman that loved the Lord with all her heart, that would be able to meet his needs as a friend and as a wife, a woman that would compiment my dad and vise versa, and someone that could keep up with his lifestyle and zeal for life. <br />

<br />

Meanwhile a woman by the name of Karen found out about the accident and could identify with his deep feelings of loss. Karen had just lost her husband in a motorcyle accident just a few months earlier, so she could relate with his pain. She mailed him a card trying to comfort and relaying that she knew what he was going through. <br />

After a while Dad called Karen and they would share with each other what they were going through, praying with each other and just really becoming close friends. Dad would share with me Karen's charactoristics, and the more he shared with me the more I knew she was the one for my Dad. Month by month went by until finally one day Dad called me up and stated he though Karen was the one for him. I then shared that I had been praying and how she seemed like the special person I was praying to God to send in his pathway. <br />

My Dad is a member of a motorcycle ministry called HIM, and he found out she also was a member of a motorcyle ministry called CMA. So a love for riding was an added plus. She is a very active and I think at times is more active than my Dad, which was hard to believe at first. <br />

<br />

God sent my Dad a woman that loves the Lord so very much, she is great friend to him and a blessing to our family. I was very honored to see the two of them get married. God is an awesome God, I have also gained a step brother, which is so very cool, since it has been just my sister and I growing up. I always wanted a brother, he and his wife also love the Lord. <br />

<br />

My Dad and Karen have shared their testimony with many people and have seen many people grow to seek God more. They have given hope to many and have blessed so many people by sharing what they have been through, from tragedy to finding such an overwhelming blessing in their love for the Lord and for each other. <br />



Their wedding was absolutely beautiful, the day was as perfect as you could as for and the reception went the same.

God is an amazing God, He heals the broken hearted. So be encouraged today, God hears our cries and will give us the desire of our hearts if we stay focused on Him.

The past is behind you, you can not change the past. The future is ahead of you, something to look forward to. But today is the present, it is a gift, choose your choices wisely so there are no regrets.

Today is a new day, a new start. This is the day, that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it. Enjoy your day loving those around you, spending time with others, blessing one another, and praying that God will bring at least one person each day that needs encouragement, and/or needs to hear how much God loves them and what He did for them.

I am encouraged of how many really do want to reach out to others, and if you haven't yet done that, get on board, it is the most exciting and full filling thing you can do. Everyday is a journey, a new adventure, and most likely it will never boring.

Pray God leads you each and everyday, to be lead by the Holy Spirit, so that your words, actions and deeds would glorify the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, for He is worthy to be glorified and praised.
