We went vacationing as a family and couldn't have gone to a more fascinating place. Iowa City, IA. That's right! The only place in the country that was having a natural disaster. The flood of 2008. Ironically, I was living in Iowa City when the floods of 1993 came through. Ummm, I wondering if there's some correlation between 1993, which as Bill Clinton was starting his presidency and 2008 - Obama?? Is the Lord trying to tell us something here?



Well, praise the Lord!! We had the unique opportunity to turn our vacation into a mission trip. I took my son and we went down to the area that needed the most help and for one day we helped sandbag. WOW, was that an experience. The college kids were out in force, bless their hearts. I suppose that as long as they were getting their tans, they didn't care what they were doing. HA! Great bunch of people those Iowans.

My heart has just been grieving over the recent ruling today in California, not just overruling the will of the people to ban same %#!$marriage, but then having the arrogance to deny the request of so many to "stay" their ruling until the people vote. WOW!. This certainly sets a new precedent. <br /><br />

It's my prayer that America will open its eyes to the sin that is so prevailing our society. There's going to be tremors of change unheard of in the history of the world and I pray that the Lord takes us home before then. On the other hand, there is a true hunger coming from those that are sincerely desiring to know Christ. The national news won't report it, but there are people coming to the cross in droves. Bless them!
