>>> With confidence and a leap of faith, Matthew Fogle entered the Christian rock realm in 2009 after playing the secular indie rock scene for 8 years. In 2011, going with the flow of opportunities presented, Matthew expanded from a simple solo artist to full band, now going by Matthew Fogle & Orange Rock. Fans are describing the music as a new twist on contemporary Christian, with a catchy modern rock feel. Add to that contemplative Christian lyrics that are listener friendly, and you’ve got an interesting mix. The excitement is here, and the band is performing in and around Louisville, KY, and wherever else God leads them to go.
The latest EP – “Plea-491” – was recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN, and produced by Chris Mara. The EP is decorated with five original Christian rock/pop songs, each praising the name of Jesus Christ in its own way. The music is reaching and inspiring a vast and varied audience. Promotion of the EP is ongoing through music stores in Louisville, at live shows, and online at foglerock.com, CDBaby, iTunes, and Amazon.com.
The journey towards “Plea-491” began in the mid ‘90s, when, with the same musical knowledge as an oil can, Matthew started writing rock songs on a cassette tape (yes, a cassette tape). The tape was soon full of original material, and it became the catalyst for a future songwriter and performer, and inspired the young musician to get his first acoustic guitar. Now, Matthew has played in hundreds of shows (400+), both in bands and his solo career.
And now, it’s all in the hands of God, for God is at the center for Matthew Fogle & Orange Rock. “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” – Isaiah 25:1. Enjoy the music, and God bless! <<<
A Prayer When a Situation Seems Impossible - Your Daily Prayer - April 24
My wife has recently painted these words on a wall in our house as a reminder to us both: “Mightier than the waves of the sea, is His love for us!” (Inspired by Psalm 93:4). Please remember this. Mightier than the tempest you are facing is His love for you!
