I just read your comment from April...yes we have so much in common being young at heart..check out my silly video...we need to rest and laugh..with all the doom and gloom around....close off the world and create of a garden of beauty in our mind..cause before i know it the phone will ring and the grands will say we are bored..can we come over..yikes...Linda do you get bored..that is a foreign word to me hah hah...oh well rest and work rest and work..there will be plenty of resting in heaven..heehe...blessings thanks for the prayers..i just recently got out of the hospital a wake up call for me.

Hi, and welcome!
I love the word mama mia...it is a household word/name in my grandmas house...She came from Italy. Her life and my own mama's life was all about love,forgiveness and family. Both of them gave me great examples/models of being a loving mother.
I strive everyday to live out their goals. To love God and to love family. Good mother's have and will change this world by their examples first. And God's love seasoned in the mix of a mother's life will not only change the world but warm the hearts of family, neighbor and church members. As we wait for all father's hearts to be all totally turned back to the children...let us mother's keep the hearth burning... bright with joy, maternal love and sacrifice. Let us support our husbands and children. But, most of all, let us follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as our bridegroom and kinsmen redeemer.

I have another website on YouTube with the same name where Ivlog too. I love to share my faith with others. I appreciate this joyful experience for it makes me feel closer to believers around the world.
As I grow older , I realize that living a simple Christian lifestyle is getting more difficult. But , I have also found out why. We keep trying to do the balancing act of living in the world and living in the kingdom. But, these two worlds keep clashing.
Choices are getting harder and harder and needs around us are getting greater and greater...That is why we must not only be committed to the narrow way but we must better prioritize our choices. God must be first, then spouse and children. But when does that leave time for the homeless, those in prison, those in hospitals and those in our own larger family to be cared for.
Two things come to mind to do this: First
remembering the words of Christ to love God with all your heart mind and strength and to love one another..cause He said that would show the world that we are his disciples! And this will never happen if we keep arguing over how we should word our doctrine. The world will never desire to follow Christ fully if that is our example to them...if that is what following Him will produce?
A tree is known by its fruit it produces. Love peace, joy and forgiveness etc. We must agree as followers...on the basics...That Jesus is God. That he was born of a virgin, died for our sins, rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for us...and will come back again on the clouds to establish his kingdom on earth...once and for all.
Finally...let us be one as we pray...The Lord's Prayer. it is another basic prayer we can all pray together...so brothers and sisters let us be one in His Spirit, one in the Lord...for this is what will please Him, especially if we truly want to put God first and call ourselves His children!!
Two:
Listening to the voice of God and living the more simpler life.
That means surrendering the things that you once thought important, desiring less of material things and following your dreams more...especially those dreams that cry out....
Prepare ye the Way of the Lord! The king is coming!
The the kingdom of God is at Hand! What ever gift you have to bring these cries about ...get started doing it now...for the hour is coming unto its fulfillment....We must love now...for tommorow will be too late.

Writing, singing and playing my guitar. I enjoy making cds. I try to collaborate with friends on music projects too.
Gardening, and poetry. Singing with a Dixeyland band for Seniors and those that can't get out too much. I have volunteered for juvenile hall for many years with my music. I visited convelescent homes too.
My new desire is to start visiting resued dogs and cats care facilities soon with my grandaughter who just loves animals .

I like everything if its clean and not too loud. Everything from Opera to soft rock. Lately Blues and Jazz has got to me...to me that's where all the Americana spritual music originally came from. I like hymns too.

Bible, the rest is ok...all the devotionals and self-help books but when the going gets tough, this gal pulls out the big guns..the Gospels, Romans...Ephesians, Philippians ,Psalms ,Ecclesiates, and Genesis...yes sir I just love that book!
I also like reading non-fiction books like biographies...true life miracles and stories.
