Well, we knew there was a 50% chance that this would be the outcome. Why are there comments from christian friends that tell me they are numb, or "we're headed for trouble" I don't understand this thinking.
So - I'm not shocked or dissappointed - I believe prophesy is unfolding before us every day. God himself has breathed the final chapters in our life book...the ending is the best part...death is swallowed up, fear is overcome, sickness is non-existant. That is Victory...the day that the Heavens open up and Jesus calls us each one by name to join Him in Eternity. THAT'S victory.
Obama's win is so temporary. We must look beyond today, pray ike we never have before. Plead the blood of Christ over our unsaved family, friends, and community...and buckle up! We will see signs and wonders! So Barack won tonight. peanuts...
Psalm 118:8
The Greatest Man Who Ever Livedâ¦Â·
Jesus had no hired servants, yet they called Him Master.
·Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
·Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
·He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
·He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him as a criminal.
·He was buried in a tomb, yet He is alive today.
I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
IN JESUS I'VE FOUND MY EVERYTHING!
As we all know, this earth can be an ugly place. I, personally, strive to do what is right, training my children in the ways of the Lord, communing with our Savior, but have ended up in a place that I would never imagine. A place of deception and grief and heartache.
Where do I go astray? I am learning - it has taken awhile - but i am getting the full picture now.... That I have been too loving and accepting, that it is easy to fall into deception. We are to love but Not accept all that comes our way... Prov.17:24 a discerning man keeps wisdom in view...
And to gain the BIGGER picture, our plan, or purpose, while we are here on this earth is to build up the body of Christ, We have been designed in the beginning of time for a purpose. I am learning to keep focus on this alone.
Ephesians 4:11-16 draws our plan out perfectly. Read it!
I want to follow hard after His plan! To grow in faith and in the knowledge of the Son...becoming mature, no longer an infant, being tossed back and forth by waves....Each one of us, He has given a gift and we are to reach out, learn what it is, take a hold of it and use it, lets not waste our time in the waves of self pity or feelings of deceit....be wise, seek the Gifts the Holy Spirit has in store for you...Gifts that fulfill! "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers..." Enjoy the journey He has pre-destined for you to take. Our time is short, our time is now.
This is something I have questioned for a long time...and through friends, Bible Reading and Joyce Meyer....I get it! My question was simply, whats wrong with having emotions...I am a woman, they are knit into my being.
I still believe emotions are good...they keep you in touch with how you 'FEEL' If you 'FEEL' happy, things are good for you and you smile, and are euphoric. It is also good to experience every emotion... to cry when your sad, as it is a healthy release, as long as you don't punch someone when your mad...
OK - what if you add passion to your life. You will add a new level of living - not just getting through the day but you will experience living life PASSIONATELY!
I have a passion for walking. Here in WA it is cold at 6:00 in the morning. I do not 'FEEL' like getting out in the cold at that time of the day, but I do it because of my passion. I do it anyway, regardless of how I feel when I open the front door and look out to grey skies. My passion takes me out, and 3 miles later, exhileration.
As Joyce Meyer put it, "We are to take authority over our feelings, choose to do what is right, and God will send along the emotion to follow"
This also from Joyce: "The Glory of God is man, FULL of LIFE. The Glory of God is not found in a dead person. Psalm 119 is all about LIVING a full life through Gods Word. That is His Glory - that we walk in obedience to Him. Living our life for Him so others may experience Him through us, who otherwise would never meet HIm." We often speak dying words...complaints, negative, the price of gas.... Straight from Joyce: "If the horse is dead - get off it and find a new ride!"
This was made so clear to me...that we can not let our emotions decide our actions or take over our thoughts. We are to set our minds on the things above right? Our emotions will not carry us when ugliness looms...we don't 'FEEL' good at these times - but Passion brings us through. Satan loves when we are down. Passion will drive the devil right out. Victory is in our passion for LIVING a life pleasing to God. Lets try adding passion and experience LIFE to the full.
I have been trying to escape what God has called me to do - sounds like Jonah....I think I will not plan a boat trip any time soon...I have found myself doubting that I am capable of this task. Many excuses pop into my mind - I am too busy, single mom, don't have the right words to say, blond and forgetful....many more. I was just reading about Moses, a hero in the Bible that was so obedient and faithful to Gods mighty plan for his life -
Check out what he said....
Exodus 4:10 "But Moses said to the Lord, Please Lord, I have never been a skilled speaker. Even now, after talking to you, I cannot speak well, I speak slowly and can't find the best words"
Moses - the great leader - He led the Isrealites out of Egypt away from bondage...I only think of a strong warrior or a powerful guy that has his act together - He too struggled with the same issues - and was able to realize that this will happen not by his doing but by Gods. He simply had faith.
When God calls us to act - He will take care of all the details - we must hold on to Him and be faithful...I will cut this short I suppose I have said enough - Let God work in you....and listen to His voice and go hard at what He is calling you to do - Imagine if Moses did not act, and let his excuses get the best of him.... Imagine what you can do for God's glory if you will act on what it is He has called you to do.
