I was born and raised in the city of Chicago on the near west-side of town. I grow up in a tough neighborhood, but that did not stop me from being separated. I went to church with my mom when I was a little boy, going to a baptist church where we live in the community and we went faithfully every week. But one day I got older and I said to myself church is boring and am getting to old for it; so around 14yrs old I decided to stop going. I never stopped believing Jesus or God it's just I felt like there was no reason to go anymore; because I have got older. So about three years later, it was a summer and I was visiting my dad and step-mom for the weekend and it was a Friday the beginning of the weekend. Saturday was here and that day I was told that we are going to church and I was surprised, because I had never really gone to church before with them. And on top of that it was some kind of new church that I never had heard of before. The name of the church was (Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church), a sanctified church where people spoke in other tongues. Now I was already baptized, but I have not received the Holy-Ghost. I saw a church service on VHS and I was amazed about what I had saw, there was something different about the people here at this church. Sunday had finally got here and we went to church that morning on time for Sunday school, and the main service was not scheduled until later around noon time. But I felt like that I was missing something, there was a void in me that had needed to be filled. I saw the choir singing it was so pleasant to my hearing, it was the anointing on there life and in their voices; next was the word of God being preached in my hearing and it was like hearing Jesus speak to me through the men of God. Finally the alter call was made and somebody came to me and took me by the hand and led me to which was my calling for salvation. I believed that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that he rose from the dead. I was being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. acts1:1-8; acts2:1-4, 14-18; acts2:38-40; ST.John1:31,33; ch3:3,,5,6,22,39; ch14:16,17,26. After the alter call I was baptized in Jesus name and then at that point all my sins from the past were forgiven by the lord himself. I then went to another room in the church, were I was to tarry for the Holy-Ghost, it only took a couple of minutes before I was speaking another tongue that I had never learned before. I felt so great at that moment before it was a feeling like I had never felt before. It was the spirit of God dwelling in me. Just something I think you should know.
