dytzzy wrote: "God does not really honestly care what we do as long as we Love Him, love OURSELVES, and love others." Really? Is GOD that self serving? Love is a many splendored thing. I have complete STRANGERS tell me they LOVE me on this site. I hear people say they LOVE their neighbors. Well, ACTIONS speak louder than words. A self serving GOD who punishes all who do not ***proclaim*** to have a particular feeling of LOVE is not a loving God.

The "New Atheists" are a religion just like Christianity. How ironic!
However, they are hardly representative of most atheists I know, who do believe in SCIENCE, and the power of the gray matter given to us by our creator.

Why do so many religious folks crave, support, and/or endorse censorship?
Why are they afraid of opposing views? I cannot count the times I've heard Christians tell me "I'm NOT going to read that - it goes against my beliefs"

Is a closed mind relying ONLY on a book written by MAN actually a REQUIREMENT for Christianity?

Many atheists and agnostics have no problem with [most] of the teachings of Jesus, but when Christians start promoting mind control, you certainly lose us.
