HI Christi I'm Dianne I couldn't help but notice you are one of the only people under the age of 30 using this site.how does feel? Lol. No but really do you want to be my friend?
My issue is not with whether or not it was against school policy to do this or not. I just think that the video was not something anyone should show to kids to try to scare them into telling their friends about Christ. That is the wrong motive. Yes I don't want my friends to go to hell but I should tell them about Jesus because it will bring them life and joy and peace. Not that it will just keep them from going to hell. Not to mention how the video wasn't very biblically accurate. They even claimed that themselves. I am glad he cares about his students and wants them to get saved, but I think he should show them Christ's love in a different way.
Shame on this teacher. This was so attacking to the children. And as for the title of this saying that he showed it to show the effects of drunk driving that is ridiculous. I watched the video it wasn't about drunk driving it was about a fictional depiction of what Hell could be like. It is an interesting video but it was not appropriate to show to a classroom of public school children. This will only harm a kids perspective of what Christianity is about. They are going to think it is all about not going to hell and they are going to be really frightened and not see that Christianity is about love and grace. He deserves to be fired. That is not loving his students in a loving way.
