Diocese of Springfield Massachusetts reaches out to the community through many ways. Our major ways of spreading our messages is through our communications ministry. The communications ministry has been producing 2 television shows, "Real to Reel" and "Chalice of Salvation."

"Real to Reel" is Western New England's Longest Running Television Magazine Program, from insightful profiles on inner city life, to engaging segments on rural existence throughout New England, Real to Reel informs and entertains at the same time. Drawing upon the talents of a seasoned team of professional reporters and journalists, Real to Reel explores the topics and trends that make us who we are and shows us where we are going. From the cutting edge to the down home, Real to Reel is about you, your neighbors, your careers, your lifestyle, your dreams... all carefully drawn together in a fast-paced half hour of original programming.

"The Chalice of Salvation" program now in its 50th year, is the region's only one-hour weekly televised Mass and is seen every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on NBC affiliate WWLP TV-22. Join host, Brother Terrence Scanlon, C.P., each week from the Holy Spirit Chapel, at St. Michael's Cathedral Springfield. The Chalice of Salvation is produced by the Catholic Communications Corporation of the Diocese of Springfield.
