Deuteronomy 11:18-21 tells us to hold tightly to the word of God. We have to allow Gods word to invade every corner of our lives. In the process of becoming a disciple of Christ we cannot be passive about protecting our innocence. Our ability to grab hold of our Purpose and Passion in Christ comes from our ability to hear from God and experience His presence in our lives. When we live innocent before Him we can hear the Holy Spirit more clearly, we can see what He is up to in our lives and the lives of those around us, “we can taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8) and we can smell what is and what is not of God around us. Revelations 12:11 describes how we overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.” When we store up God’s word inside us we create an arsenal against the enemy. What we want to do this year is practically deposit the word throughout our lives and routines, saturating ourselves with His word and presence, training ourselves to stand strong.
Protesting Innocence is not for the weak, it is a commitment to fight to protect ourselves and others from the plans of the enemy to destroy life, vision, and hope. By studying who we are in Christ taking His word to memory and committing to a life of discipleship, along with partnering with our students parents, we will learn to defeat the enemy. Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against us shall prosper.”
