About year 160, the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, in shift against the "barbarians", was completely encircled by the enemy.

In a despaired position, because any supply water was impossible, it wrote in its newspaper: At the fifth day without water, I put to request the gods of my people; but been unaware of by them, I convened those which, among us, have the name of Christians. I invited them to request for our delivery .

The details concerning the prayer of these believing were also consigned by the emperor in his writings: Being put at knees, they requested not only for me, but also for the whole army, so that we are delivered present thirst. While they put at knees and that they requested their God - God that I am unaware of -, the rain fell to torrents on us and at the same time a hail devastator fell down on the camp of the enemies. All immediately recognized the intervention of God who answers the prayers .

Impressed by the miraculous response to the prayers of the Christians, the emperor wrote thereafter a decree which reduced (for a few times only) persecutions against them.

Christians, in a world increasingly enemy of Christ, let us remain in the place that God gives us, available, always ready to answer those which ask for reason of our hope to us! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
