I enjoy reading the book of James.

Count it all joy when I go through trial.
I know that I will be blessed when I preserver through the trails of this world. For God tells me so in His word.
If I want wisdom, I need to ask God, I must believe with out doubt that He will give me the wisdom I ask for.
I can not be double minded , I don't want to be just a lesson er (hearer) of the word I want to be a doer, I do not want to be polluted by this world, for if I know good and don't do it I am sinning.
I need to be slow to speak ,slow to anger, and I do not want to show favoritism, I need to love my neighbor as my self, for me that part has been hard, I pray every day for God to help me like myself, and for him to teach me His love.

I have believed in God all my life even as a small child, I have been to several different denominations (Church's), I have been on a spiritual journey all my life. I started out first in a Catholic church, as a small child. as a child I went to the Salvation army, to the Church of Christ for about 9 years up till I was 21., then in 1982 or so I started going to the Baptise church, then a Nazarene church, then a church of God, then a Assembly of God,I went to Living Water a Pentecostal (4 SQ) church, and to Calvary Chapel, too name a few. I want you to know that in every church denominations (church)I have gone to, I have been feed, Just as it says in the Bible, I started out on milk as a baby and now I am on meat, I have grown in Christ Jesus and each day I pray to grow more. Thank you for your words my sister. They are truth. Sometimes we fall into the enemies trap of being this way by allowing him to set us up. I remember reading somewhere in so many words that each attack is strategically planed and thought through and it is ideal just for us individuallly because the enemy knows exactly what will trigger us to heed to a temptation, an angry reaction, or hurt and pain, or to be hurtful and cause pain. We must learn to resist with the power of the LORD! Both to resist giving in, and also to be affected negatively by someone that we should call fellow Christian that hurt us. It is hard, but look how much easier it would have been if we started resisting a long time ago. Yes, we would still have battles, but we would be in a different frame of mind. Just like you said and just as our LORD has said through His word, we are in a war and war is never easy or pretty. We have to be prepared and be ready always to fight (Spiritually). Our LORD said to be alert because the devil is like a roaring lion seeking... We as children of The Most High God need to understand this and cry out to the LORD to give us disernment and ask Him to thrust these characteristics that are not His out of our system and replace them with His fruits. Great peace have they which love Thy law and nothing shall offend them Ps. 119 165. And another one that I love dearly is 'in the multitudes of my thoughts within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.' It can get a little crowded in my head at times... you know, when the enemy attacks, but it is great to know that God's Spirit is there to comfort and sooth and show me the REAL truth. To show us the real truth when the enemy uses others and sometimes his dark angels' voice to tell us lies. Have a Fantastic and blessed week! Your sister in the LORD, ithirst- for Christ |
