Here with my head bowed and my heart humbled I have to tell you the truth about myself and I need to tell you this now from the very beginning......
You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,
but GOD kept me sane.
(Isa. 26:3 - He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!)
There were times when I thought I could go on no longer,
but the LORD kept me moving.
(Gen 28:15 - What's more, I am with you, and will protect you wherever you go, and will bring you back safely to this land; I will be with you constantly until I have finished giving you all I am promising.)
At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong, but the LORD kept my mouth shut.
(Romans 12:19 - Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for He has said that He will repay those who deserve it.)
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
but GOD has helped me to keep the utilities paid, food in my home, and clothes on our backs.
(Matt. 6:25-34 - "So my counsel is: Don't worry about things---food, drink, and clothes. For you already have life and body---and they are far more important than what to eat and wear. Look at the birds! They don't worry about what to eat---they don't need to sow or reap or store up food---for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than they are. Will all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry abou your clothes? Look at the field lilies! They don"t worry about theirs, yet King Solomon in all his glory was not clothed as beautifully as they. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't He more surely care for you, O men of little faith? So don't worry at all about having enough food and clothing. why be like the heathen? For they take pride in all these things and are deeply concerned about them. But your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, and He will give them to you if you give Him first place in your life and live as He wants you to. So don't be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.)
When I thought I would fall,
HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak,
HE kept me strong!
(I Pet. 5:10-11 - After you have suffered a littlle while, our God, who is full of kindness through Christ, will give you His eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up and set you firmly in place, and make you stronger than ever. To Him be all power over all things, forever and ever, Amen) I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you feel me (as Pastor Francis jokingly said in service 11/23) and understand me!
Although God isn't through with me...not yet.....
I Am a "Kept" Woman.
Before you go I would like to remind you that it is not the things that happen to us that determine the quality of our lives, it is strictly our attitudes towards the things that happen. We can not control what other people say and do. We can only control ourselves. Therefore, we must concentrate on knowing ourselves, who we are, what our abilities are, and what we want to do with our lives. We must have our dreams and the courage to pursue them, while respecting the right of others to do the same. We must accept the fact that life is ever changing, and the people and possessions that are in our lives today may be gone tomorrow. Although it is painful when this happens, we must find the strength to continue with our lives. And we must learn that at times like these the more we care about others and their problems, the quicker our problems will diminish. Thank you for visiting with me. I hope your problems will be few and your courage strong, and most of all I pray for you - A life full of Blessings and a heart full of love. God's Blessings to you and yours!
