Just a little note... Surrender. Don't look for what you want. Look for how God can use you. It might be totally different than you expect. Die to "self" and be surprised. Remember Mother Teresa's words... "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him YOUR plans...."
i ment to say the other way around, very sorry i was trying to say what youre saying but iwas too fired up. sorry i'll repost. And i'm glad there's still some of called to the priesthood!
gonnabefriar..hi! So you want to be a friar, well i want to be a priest. marian or Diocesan, havent decided yet! One quick thing I want to mention. You said Christ was nailed on his wrists and not his hands, because it would support the weight of the body. Well schoalrs and theologians (both Catholic and non- Christian) have cobnfirmed that Jesus was nailed on the palms because he got support from this feet. Just to mention.
A Great statement that has a great answer. in this passage that you have used, if i'm correct Matthew 12 47-48. Back in the Day when Jesus was aroundhe used language that was really hard for us to understand. But what Christ really means in this passage that you have selected is that Christ includes all those who do the will of God. No where it this passage does Christ ever say that we shouldn't Give MAry the respect and Veneration that she deserves, instead he says and invites us to be like her.The most profound reason why she deserves to be venerated is becasue of her great faith that she had when she received the word of God his will, this can be clearly read in Luke 1 , 48-49 For he has looked upon his handmiad's lowliness, behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. Of course i don't know if this is in the Protestant bible becasue some parts are missing or should i say have been removed at their convinience.
cmammlj you are very right and at the same time wrong, because there is only one mediator that is Jesus Christ and in this mediation participate the Saints, Including MARY, i'll explain why in Timothy 2:1-4 it says and encourages praying for one another furthermore it also tells us that this will only be effecient or effective if we are one with Christ who is the only mediator, in other words all the other Saints including Mary are channels of his mediation there are examples of this in the Bible, for example moses interceding for the israelites before Christ Exodus 32:30 and Mary in the feasts of Cana interceding for the people present John 2:1. PEace be with you and may Christ iluminate you.
JUanitahill i think that you haven't gotten your facts from a Catholic, anyway Mary is more than any woman BECAUSE SHE GAVE BIRTH TO THE ONE AND ONLY GOD CHRIST so don't you go saying she was nothing more than a woman, anyway we never said she pardons sins, she always directs her aim to Christ she never accepts worship becasue worship is only for Christ but she is given an special recognition above all saints becasue she gave birth to God and she sought after him and endured the pain that she had to face during our Lord's passion. Out of all the Women God Choose this woman, MAry, a saint form when she was born to give birth to him.
You know some things that Protestants don't see at their convinience is that Mary always acknwoledges her son and she loves him and adores him because he is God, furthermore that she leads us to Christ and he is the center of her life. But oh no they don't see that.
Now what, there you are christ himself for any doubter that the Catholic religion is the wrong religion, are you blind i haven't heard of any miracles in Protestant Churches.
I'm appallued by the lack of knowledge of our Protestant brothers who think they are right and go on sprading false ideas of the CATHOLIC church i would suggest that they think and know what they are saying beofre they speak against the CAtholic church which they split from.
