Yesterday I was on a crowded train in New York going home and the train was so crowded there was no place to hold onto. A women next to me said here take my arm. Surprised by the generosity which sometimes is rare in this world I decided to take her up on the offer. As I held onto to her I thanked god because the last thing I needed was to bounce all over the place in a crowed train. As I held her arm I silently prayed for her and thanked god that he had extended the gesture through this women to remind me - I got you. The experience reminded me of Psalms 137 v. 1 "By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion" Three things they did they sat, they wept they remembered. Notice that the Psalmist says "They" In times of great calamity, stressful days, in times of despair, in times of great tribulation in your life you cannot go through it by yourself.
