Dr. T. Wesley Weeks, Sr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1945, the son of Thomas J. and Susan Weeks. His education includes receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master degree in Urban Affairs from Boston University; a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary and an Honorary Doctorate degree from Aenon Bible College where he served as their president for seven years.
A well-known speaker and seminarian, he has devoted his life's work to the personal growth and interpersonal development of others. Early in his administrative housing program career, he recognized the felt needs of the masses. After entering into the ministry, he saw in people the unsatisfied needs that external growth practices left behind. His deepest desire was to enable people to engage the core of their innermost beings to become complete as they uncover and discover their transformed selves in the process. While picking up a book or listening to a lifestyle change program and buying tapes could change one from the outside in, he knew that it took more to change one from the inside out. That something more was a new beginning, a plugging into the right source.
That is where TransformedNow starts, at a person's beginning. It then builds on the solid principle that true character development is in direct relationship to embracing eternal truths. Once the foundation of success is established, an individual's potential is easily attainable. His gift is guiding others to connect to their source; that will lead them to satisfying lives as they fulfill their potential.
Dr. Weeks has authored several books including, Don't Leave, Cleave, A Set Time; Altar Survivor: The Road to Greatness and Start Strong-Finish Stronger. His accomplishments range from receiving his bishopric many years ago to being the graduation speaker and serving on the advisory board for Met College of Boston University. His ready smile and easy-going manner serve to put anyone immediately at ease.
He and his wife of over forty years, Dr. Leona Brown Weeks have two children, Thomas Wesley and Abdullah Azeez. Thomas, also a minister, has one daughter, Sydnie. Azeez and his wife Verna, have two children, BaDia SaFa and Zion.
A Prayer When a Situation Seems Impossible - Your Daily Prayer - April 24
My wife has recently painted these words on a wall in our house as a reminder to us both: “Mightier than the waves of the sea, is His love for us!” (Inspired by Psalm 93:4). Please remember this. Mightier than the tempest you are facing is His love for you!
