Thank you brother for opening this door..May the Lord continue to share you the words you so eager to share through your heart what He has done for you..May He give you the strength and courage He promises through the Word, in persevering and not be shaken through the challenges and obstacles that do arise because of the journey ahead. Even though it states in the Bible how the road is straight and narrow, but it is one that I know you have found and experience to know that it is so worth it. It is the only thing that is worth living towards as it has shared you great joy and peace.. God is good: )))Blessed be..

If sin demands eternal puni... added: 18 hours ago
Livingparable, I can appreciate you wanting to dig deeper into this comment, and I can fully understand that I needed to clarify myself. I was attempting to address that aspect when I said that to die physically does not mean that we cease to exist, though I did not mention the tree of life. When we think about this in relation to the tree of life becomes even a bit more clear. The tree of life was there to provide natural phyical life. The fact that man was kept from the tree of life was part of the sentence of death that sin brought. And as we know, we all die physically which completes that specific aspect of the curse of sin. Now the fact that we will all be resurrected (believers and non-believers) (Rev 20:5-15), does not contradict mankind being banned from the tree of life in the garden, because we all had to die in order to be resurrected which tells us that none of us had the eternal life in the way the tree in the Garden could have provided it... It was never originally intended that our bodies should decay and die and our souls be separated from our bodies. That is one of the horrible consequences of sin. The fact that God later reunites us with bodies (some to spend eternity with Christ and some to the lake of fire) in no way nullifies the curse of having had our bodies die. It\'s a bit difficult to articulate but I hope that conveys what I am trying to say. God Bless, Deaton29

If sin demands eternal puni... added: 22 hours ago
Daviruiz, That is a good question. When God tells Adam and Eve that if they \"eat of the tree they will surely die\" it does not necessitate annihilation. As we read through the rest of scripture it become more clear what was initmated by the term death. First they would die spiritually. They had become sinful and has lost their right relationship with the Lord. We too are told that we are spiritually dead and need new life in Christ. Second, it meant that they would die physically, which they did. But to die physically does not mean that one ceases to exist. This applies to the believer and the non-believer. In fact one will be resurrected to life with Christ, and the other to eternal punishment. If you look below you will see some scripture refrences to I had posted to TimOConner that deals with eternal punishment. Rev. 14:11 is another one.

TimOConnor, Thanks for the comment...The greek term aion as used in the Hebrews passage has no relation to hell in any way. As we know the sense in which the word is used is determined by it context and aion can also mean \"world\" \"Forever\" and \"evermore.\" For example 1 Tim 1:17 says that God is wise and glorious forever and ever, and the word is aion. Are you saying we must translate that is says that God is only wise and glorious for a limited amount of time. To translate the greek that way in Rev. 20:10 goes against almost every trained greek translator. Not to mention there are multiple places where the punishment of unrepentant sinners is spoken of as eternal. Here are a few.... Isaiah 66:24 .... Daniel 7:9,10... Jude 7,...Rev. 19:3...Luke 3:17....

Ymmotrojam, Very occasionally you will see it that way but most systematic theologies use Harmatology. It may be one of those words that can go either way.

That is too funny :-)

Looks fishy to me... Not that I doubt that God can raise the dead but the video looks a little suspect. I find it interesting that when they carry him to the bed he amazingly has different clothes once he is on the bed.

Brother Jon, The the local church certainly isn\'t a building as you suggest, but that does not mean that it has no organization or structure, or that it cannot meet in a building. As we read the Word it is clear that God has organized His people in a locality by giving some to be pastors, teachers deacons, elders etc, and he has even given us ordinances and ceremonies to observe to bring Him glory such as the Lord\\\'s supper and Baptism. My video is not intended to deal with every issue dealing with the local church, but that they are ordained by God in His word and we should be part of it as believers. Thanks for your comment. God bless, Deaton29.

Gen 22:13 “And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.”

As Isaac watched the knife which was lifted by his father be plunged into the ram that had been caught in the thicket, what could have been going through his mind? As he watched as the altar was set ablaze to finish the burnt offering, the thought of his replacement must have astonished him.

Only moments early he himself had been bound and laying on the altar. Not only him but the future existence of the children of God. As Isaac watched his replacement, he watched for us all as God shows him that there is one who will come to bear our curse.

The ram obviously being a shadow of Christ who was to come, finds us bound upon the altar of the wrath of God, bound in the...
