Duck Dynasty's Reed Robertson Sings Hallelujah at School

Vera Berry It's not actually written by a Christian, so I don't think it has the meaning you think it does. It actually has about 80 verses.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallelujah_(Leonard_Cohen_song)

If it hasn't been done yet I wish someone would post this song along with the lyrics. I wish I knew how to do it.

Paulita, thanks for sharing that. If I thought of that I would have wrote the same thing.

Dear Reed, I know your family is so very proud of you sweetheart. I have watched you on the show and you has shown so much respect for your family that I wish every young man and women would watch and see how it is done. I am so happy you love The Lord.Keep singing and being as sweet as you are angel. With Respect, Diane Elliott, Decatur, il.

Reed.... you've done a beautiful job. Keep singing and praising our Lord. Wonderful to hear youth singing and praising God. I hope this touches many others. God Bless you and your Family for serving the Lord. Don't ever change. Pastor's Wife in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Loved it, we need many more young people using their talents for The Lord. Hope you always do.

It's a song about men who have had their walk with The Lord effected by a woman. Sampson was tied to the kitchen chair and had his hair cut off. David was undone by Bathsheeba. The chorus says they have a broken Hallelujah. It is about how love can destroy your walk with The Lord. In my life, marriage wasn't easy but it did bring me closer to God through my husband's ministry. I would like to think that I am the opposite of these women. Hope that helps. :-) Vera

It might be better to get one out of a hymnal instead of from some 60's radical, but then you'll find that out when you actually read the lyrics.

It's a "home working site" that people apply for & then they spam up message boards. They got the wrong one here though.

  • 2013-09-02T16:35:09

I looked at those online "work at home" job listings too, but I'm not comfortable imposing myself on places where it's off-topic. I won't do it & am sick of those who do. If anybody was interested, they'd make a message board just for these kinds of ads. Nobody would go there.

It's not. It's a liberal protest song. People don't really listen to lyrics. "Born in the USA" wasn't really pro-American either.

This is a kid that has a practicing Chstiian family. He can't help it his family is on tv. He is a talented young man who is proud of his faith. If you watched to show you would know that Wille and Phil are ministers. They pray before each meal. I love him and the song.

I feel bad because his guitar is badly out of tune. He has a wonderful voice but for me it is very distracting. It is very important, that is why many acoustic musicians spend endless time tuning before they actually sing. Keep on singing Reed you have real talent.
