Travis & Isela I want to thank you for your service. My husband spent 23 years in the military. I know that the military is a great place to raise children, because we did. What others don't seem to understand is that the military provides excellent benefits for those children.....all their health care is a major benefit. With the new laws, and if they were civilians, they may not have jobs and if they did, it might not provide health care. I am proud of the 2 of you and every other person serving our country and keeping the behinds of everyone, even those that are critical, safe. Thank you and God Bless!

Pierce I would like to add, when something was wrong. You didnt do it. So your comment was crazy.

I knew it looked like you! However I knew he wouldnt say crazy things like this. Anyway, the video is what I was commenting on. Its all good Jeremy, how is life treating you? I hope everything is good.

oh, wow. This is strange. First of all, let me state that I hate facebook, because this comment was never intended to be for this video (which I had never seen till today). I was commenting on a picture in defense of soldiers so somehow this comment got posted on this video instead and is now take out of context. Second, lol, 1SG Mann, I was in your platoon in 1st Maintenance Company for almost two years. lol. I was even in Iraq with you. Again, this comment was not meant for a video that I haven't seen.

Duke your right he has never served. Being a professional Soldier adheres to the Army Values and a key value is integrity. That means you must do what is right legally and morally. Jeremy you have to know what you are talking about, before you talk about the thousands of Soldiers that protect you and yours.

You apparently never served. Any military member can refuse an unlawful order and does everyday! Lots of wrong is uncovered everyday and unethical officers and NCOs are prosecuted every day.

War War War! You Americans have just been brainwashed with the concept that the only way to solve a problem is to go to war. How about if Americans went back to what the country was founded on - GOD and biblical principles. As it says in Mark 6:33 Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. You guys just don't get it. This is not about these parents. They could be off in say Bangladesh working for a construction company for all I care. It's about the broken family and the POWERS & PRINCIPALITIES that you give all the power to, through this kind of video. This is not inspirational. Me or anybody else does not inspire to be seperated from their children or families by choice, but Satan does. Stop using the War thing aye. It's so boring.

There are so many variables to this equation that in order for someone to judge without knowing the situation is a bit ignorant. You have no idea what life they had prior to joining the military, perhaps they were looking for a better life for their children during a peacetime situation. Then war happened and they were called. Normally, it should of been the higher command that should spot such a situation and allow one to remain behind. Perhaps, this is the only way that these two soldiers can see to provide college educations for their children, a better life for their grandchildren one day? I think a simple "thank you" would be sufficient for the people willing to lay down their lives for you. ---- When the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Gandhi he asked him, "Mr. Gandhi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?" Gandhi replied, "Oh, I don't reject Christ. I love Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike Christ."

The professional soldier doesnt make his decisions. He follows his orders whether right or wrong.

First of all..NO One should Judge anyone but the father. Then you have to realize that less than 1% of people in the United States join the military so you can enjoy the liberties that you have. I have been in the service for 23 years. God is with me just like he is with you. Its called faith, when I am called to serve overseas to leave my family. I know God is going to make sure I come back and I know he will supply my wife with the strength to move any mountain while I am gone. Always remember the Bible is a big book. I know for a fact that there were several times when Christians were called to arms. No one if perfect, and he has a plan for everyone. You don't know what went on in these Soldiers lives and you don't know the decisions that they had to make. So instead of saying they are wrong. Lets support and pray for our Soldiers.

Good response :). Again sorry for being irritated.

Fair call brother, but those kids look 8 to 11 years of age. More than ample time for 2 people to get their priorities in life sorted. The principalities and powers must be just laughing and rubbing their hands at the brokenness of this family. And this is NOT judgement but the truth, and if I aren't going to stand up for the truth or these poor kids who could one day be orphans, because of their parents choice, who will. This is not the will of God. The Lord doesn't give us a commission to go out and kill our enemies.’Mark 12:30-31 Jesus says " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. And to finish off, brother I have prayed for this family, that it will come into the alignment of Gods will, and that the family will seek the Kingdom first and will come under the understanding of his love and blessings. Amen

*irritated

  • 2012-05-31T21:30:33

*facepalm* Once again people in the body are shooting there mouths off without thinking of how it makes them look or affects there testimony for Christ. Come on guys THINK maybe they got involved in all of this before the birth of there kids and there military contracts still have a ways to go before they are up. Or it could be as you all say, that the parents selfishly joined the military without a thought for there kids. Either way we don't know what's really going on so lets keep our complaints to ourselves (as tempting as it is to just shoot our mouths off believe me I know) and pray for Gods will in the lives of this family. Don't misunderstand me I know where your all coming from I'm a dad/uncle myself I'm just slightly irrated at how much mouth shooting I'm seeing lately especially since we don't know what's really going on. That's all I'm sayin.
