Thankfully, for God's people, life does not end with earthy reality, duty and justice alone. The fullness of Christ and life with Him as the culminating conclusion awaits. The most heart-dancing adventure of the creative unknown future prapared by the loving God still unfolds and blooms! All the tears, longing, suffering, questioning and wrestling will be answered. We are not vain or alone. We never meant to be. Christ has been with us and He is coming. Hallelujah!

It's there, right before the Song of Songs, partially because we should not be suffocated and overwhelmed by the dazzling, heavily-scented beauty of the eternal Love Song. Grey reality first before the restoration of the most intensely colorful Eden.

Yes. It's one of the Wisdom Literature in the Holy Bible. It has the utmost wisdom on living. The doctrine of humanity's total depravity has been one of the most realistic thus wisest( if perceived and understood) doctrines that leads us to Christ for salvation. It's very interesting that the Book of Ecclestiastes is sandwiched by the Proverbs - the godly practical everyday Wisdom and the Song of Songs - the immortal most meaningful and satisfying other-worldly love song.
