You are responding to his apparent hyperactivity. Unfortunately, many teachers do not recognize that this is an attribute in some geniuses. It is so sad when adults decide to tame a personality like his with drugs or discipline. He delighted me, but my career was teaching these kids.

That's the attitude that bright kids hear all the time. Praise them!

Brilliant boy

Haha wow hes smart. Some of us are blessed with the ability to retain mass amounts of information at a young age.. and some of us have to work our butts off for it.

Knowing nothing about his family background or what, if any, spiritual influences he's been exposed to thus far in his life, I think its premature to posit arrogance since he's still just nine years old and probably not yet emotionally or spiritually mature.

Wow that was great .This lil guy is sure talented.Few things I liked about him.Wonderful personality.Very outgoing. Not shy or bashful. He Loves his music. He understands and plays to his audience.Notice he comes on well dressed.not like the average person wearing bloomers and a T shirt.I have a hunch this lil guy is going places.I also noticed his happy disposition Wonderful. My personal comment Do not get involved with booze-drugs-cigarettes and wild women(save all that for the down and outers)

Jeffrey Beardsley, Troy was commenting on a post someone inserted here to promote their business. It has been deleted.

Uh, @Murray Hiltz, I think @Troy Coyle missed the entire point of your post. And a very good post it was!

Latoya Z. Heiden How does this have anything to do with the video? This is a very poor way to advertise, and most inappropriate.

Jerry R Wood MY point is that in this case it isn't arrogance but a product of who this child is I don't want to use labels. some gifted and exceptional children struggle with modesty they just want to keep talking about what they know and can do. But you can see it any way you want it just bothers me because it is like saying someone with cerebral palsy speech impediment is drunk. They aren't they just sometimes sound that way because of how their brain works..

No I realize that Mark I was hoping to add some insight into why this could be the impression. I work with all kinds of differently abled kids so I understand how some very bright and unique children (genius) can come across. He is definitely in the outlier category of students and is likely extremely gifted intellectually A lot of highly intelligent children are a bit different and in fact considered special needs in a way. it is not always a blessing but I made the point that I could see a nice balance in his life with the academic and the artistic. Did you notice how he just wanted to keep performing? Anyway I did LIKE your post so it wasn't a put down.

Jan Chobaniuk I made no comment on whether he had a reason to be arrogant or did not have a peer group.

  • 2014-06-11T23:07:53

Jan Chobaniuk Arrogance is arrogance regardless where it is displayed even in Canada.
