God said there will be a judgement day. Jesus said, to be absent of the body is to be present in the Lord. There is a lot that we don't know. We could go be in the realm of God's love, because I've seen many nde's where people weren't christian but experienced that same love. Maybe these things happen to be a witness to those who don't beleive, that there is life after death.

There is life after death... that's a fact documented by many people since the beginning of time. The question is, "Where will I go after I die?" Jesus talked more about the reality of hell more than he talked of heaven when he was here on earth. He wants us to know Him. He is the ONLY WAY to heaven. "Many shall come in my name, go not after them. My people know my voice and follow me." The one thing that disturbed me about this testimony is the lie that everyone will go to heaven regardless. It left me feeling rather empty. I pray this doctor will not only know the reality of after death there is still life, but that He will experience becoming a 'brand new creation in Christ Jesus' II Corinthians 5:17.

Just a simple reply...you cannot put Jesus above God because He IS God..John 1.

Praise God that He will use this experience to inspire a Harvard neurosurgeon to search/research until he gains understanding and finds the way, the truth, and life through Jesus. god has His ways and His appointed messengers.

it mightve been a vision instead of him actually going to heaven,, what I got from his video,, he doesn't mention accepting Jesus as His Lord and Savior,, if you don't you wont go to heaven, just b/c you believe in God doesn't mean youve excepted Jesus and it doesn't mean you're a Christian.

So Morgan Freeman who claims that he is God is interviewing a man who claims to have been in the prescence of God. The Bible says that only Enoch, Elijah, and Moses have entered into Heaven...no one else. When our brains are oxygen deprived, we start to hallucinate. This is a scientifically proven fact. Anyone who has had a Near Death Experience will hallucinate. We don't need a Harvard professor to prove that Heaven is real. We need to go no further than the very Bible that God has given us. It tells us that the wages of sin is death. But God, who alone is immortal, will grant eternal life to His redeemed. Until that day, death is an unconscious state for all people. A dreamless sleep. When Christ, who is our life, appears, the resurrected righteous and the living righteous will be glorified and caught up to meet their Lord. The second resurrection, the resurrection of the unrighteous, will take place a thousand years later. No human being is immortal. We all would suffer eternal death if God did not grant forgiveness and eternal life to those who seek to abide in Christ. Even King David isn't in Heaven yet. Acts 2:29,34 (KJV). Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. [34] For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

I am in agreement with those who have stated that there is no way to heaven except through faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. He said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man comes unto the Father except by me." This makes me think that as someone else has said, that everyone goes to heaven, regardless of how they have lived their life. I also agree with the person who said that Satan appears as an angel of light to many, and will deceive them until the very last second. I am thinking that Satan gave him this vision, which didn't sound at all like the people who have actually met Jesus in heaven and come back to finish their lives on earth, and that the unsaved media is using this to deceive many. Not a good thing, at all.

Heh Heh Heh, the Doc. ain't not going to ever be the same. There's noting like a preview of Heaven to light up one's life, here in this mortality. He say's he wants to study and understand... how about accepting on 'Faith,' and really spreading the word? Now, that would wake people up... The Doc, could plant Jesus' seed of Faith, while he works on fixing someone's brain, therefore fixing the heart, at the same time. Oh, what a gift, this Doctor now has. "Heads and Hearts, Fixed Here. No Extra Charge." (A preachers dream).

Brent, I agree with Stephen's comments but also keep in mind this was from an episode on the Science channel and not a Christian channel or show. Quite the opposite of your viewpoint that the enemy is trying to lead us away from God, one might get the point there truly is an afterlife and be lead to take steps in the direction about how to seek God from the Dr's reference to there being a 'the divine presence". I think too many 'regligious' people forget the completely awesome power and Grace of our Father and assume there is only one time and place in one's life to truly reach out to get saved. And please don't confuse that last sentence with me saying there is more than one WAY to get saved, that's not what I said.

Amen and Hallelujah! Where is Jesus in his visions and experience? May this be a foretaste of him receiving Jesus in his heart as his savior and Lord !! Aamen

Remember what Peter and Paul said Jesus said about people who complained about others not following God the same way they do? " I follow Cephas, I follow----" They said that Jesus told them " Whover follows God and does his work is with me." God came before Jesus. Jesus taught people to follow GOD"s word, not him because of himself but because he came from God. If you follow GOD you follow what Jesus taught. Please don't try to put Jesus above GOD. Jesus said he came FROM God. He called us all brothers and said if we follow God we are one with Him.

Kenneth, I don't think he was witnessing being saved, just his 'experience' in what he viewed as the afterlife or perhaps just a brief glimpse of it. And who are you or I anyone else to evaluate his experience as being right nor wrong lest we violate the scripture of Matthew 7:5 ourselves. Yes as a Christian my goal is to lead people to Christ if they are a non-believer, but sometimes God will put people or experiences in a non-believer's life that will move them just a degree or single step in that direction. I'd recommend you check out the book "Walk across the room" by Bill Hybels. Sometimes you can do more damage with a non-believer by 'preaching' to them when they aren't ready at that moment, than being guided by the Holy Spirit, walking softly and honoring the scripture of 2 Corinthian 13:1-7... Ken
