Thank you for making this into a lesson for all parents that what we say and do each day sends a message to our children that its okay, so as parents we should think before we speak and act and ask ourselves is this what I want to teach my child today. As for the email writer, I pray that this has opened their eyes to their behavior, and will start to change it and be a better person, a good way to start will be to send another email and saying I'm sorry and learn from your mistakes. May God bless you for taking this and turning this into an inspiration for all of us. Have a blessed day.

Appearances are not what count, it is what is within a person that really counts. I am very proud of you for having stood up and said your piece. Thank you and many others do too.

I am more concerned about the "size zero" girls who read fashion magazines... And yes, I think it is very important to teach our children to be kind, not critical. God bless this newscaster and forgive the criticizer. I'd not want to be in his skin.

Bullying is wrong... but the comments that God accepts us as who we are... are misleading. God only accepts a changed heart... a repentant heart. So while I agree with her that bullying is wrong... this video does not belong on Godtube simply because of some of her other comments and subtle ways of supporting sexual orientation acceptance.

I am not significantly overweight myself, but after birthing six children by c-section, and honestly, throughout my life, it has been a lifelong battle for me to maintain and control my weight. It has been a time issue, a money issue, an identity issue, and at times, an emotional issue, particularly postpartum. Yet, I know my battle is nothing compared to that of others. It is appalling to me how Christian and obese people are the only groups of people that it has become chic to bully. In the age of so called tolerance, it is increasingly shocking to me how little this is addressed. I know as an anchor woman, it must have been very difficult to even have to address this, but it is about time. No one can predict or determine the stress levels, eating habits, metabolic differences, or chemical differences that make our bodies appear differently and there is no species where all turn out exactly the same size. The pressures on women to be the same size that someone else believes they should be, are unbelievable. I give you credit for having the strength to go public and not just shy away from the camera. Of my six children, 3 have always had more trouble balancing weight, grades, sports, eating habits and all that goes into life. You are a role model because you understand these struggles and face them head on! Thank you.

It is so sad that people think they can say anything to anyone. I am so sorry there is alot of cruel and judgemental people out there. I just want U to know role model has nothing to do with the outward appearance it has to do with character and morals and how we live our lives behind the cameras, shame on him whoever he was, I HAPPEN TO SEE A BEAUTIFUL STRONG WOMAN..............God bless Marilyn.

What a beautiful witness to all those out there who are feeling the sting of a bully. Thank you for having the courage to charitably and articulately stand up to your attacker and at the same time teach a beautiful lesson about being bullied and bullying. It takes a BEAUTIFUL person to take a painful personal attack and respond in love, making something so negative a positive teaching moment for the good of others.

God accepts us for who we are, he doesn't care what the outside looks like, it's what's inside of us! It's like a beautiful gift wrapped in worn, wrinkled and torn paper! Amazing message, get to know me before you judge me!

Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Thank you for sharing that. She could not have handled that better. That was such a great opportunity to deliver that message, and she did it flawlessly.
