Debbie Chaney I can't believe you are criticizing her "straining to get the notes"! She is just about the best little 5 year old I have heard! Her pitch was wonderful! lI taught Kindergarten, and I know! She would have needed a microphone to make her voice carry, too. In addition, she even had all the words memorized! I believe she truly was praising the Lord...and He doesn't judge the quality. As long as we are praising Him (as I am sure this little girl was), it is beautiful music. I cannot fathom why you would want to discourage her, her parents, or her church family from praising God in this manner. Do you ever listen to Christian music on the radio? Those are people "performing", but also singing for the Lord.

Five years old and she has learned all the verses to "Come to Jesus." Not "This Little Light of Mine," or even "Jesus Loves Me." When I was 5 all I knew was the first verse of "Jesus Loves Me,' God has really blessed Avery.

God's word says to make a joyful noise unto to the Lord; not a perfect one as some would think this should be.

amen tracey and Bukay

Debbie Chaney It's not like she was on American Idol or something. She was probably in front of her church family, and what better place to praise the Lord with song than in church.

regardless of what any of us think, I'm almost positive that was a joyful noise to the Lord. and that is all that matters.

Debbie Chaney . I think she is just a little girl singing, not trying out for Prime Time. Plus I think it would have been her parents who posted b/c they were proud. I would be too:)
