When you say the word "revival," what does it mean? It's used when an expiration takes place. To revive a person indicates that the person's no breathing, or their breath has left the person. Dead persons are unresponsive, lifeless, or because of blood loss, are no longer capable of living. So why do we want a revival? What we really should be asking is that we want God. Not what God can do so we could walk out on Him after He does what we ask Him to do. Let's turn it around. Instead of us asking Him what He can do for us, let's do what He asks and commands us to do. This is not revival. This is obedience.

Christians should abhor the present secular culture and mourn, never comfortably co-exist with it. ( Ezekiel chapter 9).

The word "revival" is not found in the Bible. The only revival remotely close to what Collin Hansen is trying to convey was accomplished when we accepted Christ and chose to follow him. Unfortunately, too many Christians depend on mass groups gathering together, being stoked by music or a charismatic preacher, titillating their emotional senses to the point of falling into catatonic, gibberish-spewing experience. Then say, "Now that's the revival I'm talking about," which is only sheer showmanship rubbish at its zenith. I wrote an article about the entire "revival" movement throughout the years and have it posted on my blog. http://son-of-encouragement.blogspot.com/2009/12/prophecy-human-predictions-or-gods.html Basically true revival is about each person repenting and devoting their entire life to Christ, not just a feel good Christian rock concert to get their juices flowing.
