I was saved because I heard Jesus say "IT IS I" I HEARD A VOICE NOT MY OWN SPEAK INTO MY CONSCIENCE WHEN I WAS PRAYING OUT LOUD TO GOD. To make a long story short, that was the hour of my salvation. You will know when God speaks to you like that without a doubt in the world. I would like to share the whole experience but it would just take to long. The bottom line is I am saved and I believe now! I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SALVATION, GOD DID IT ALL. God still speaks to me today, just not like that. He speaks to me through his word and others (sermons). I would give anything to hear him speak to me like that again (i don't have the guts to ask though) but one day we will all hear his sweet voice like that without ceasing. So you see I really just had to testify that God does speak audibly to people.

Very sound advice, I agree that our emphasis should always be on the Logos His written word and that when we feel we have heard God speak to us giving us a Rhema ( or spoken, now) word it must always line up with the Logos (Bible) word.

Many places in scripture we are told to listen for that still, small voice that GOD uses to speak to us. I hearthat voice often during the day that comes with a soft word of encouragement, direction, warning of danger and of love. Does it make me think I am special or annointed? No. It does give me a sense of awe and wonder that this wonderful GOD that I serve cares so much for me, a sinner, that he finds time to be concerned for my daily life. I am amazingly humbled that HIS love is always here. Humbled and thankful. We are supposed to develop our personal relationship with HIM and speak/ pray to HIM in conversation and conversation is only that when both parties are involved. I thank HIM, praise HIM and honor HIM for hismercy and grace.

God can do anything with anyone... There was a time when I didn't think God would forgive me for my horrible sins of the past, no matter who told me differently. Therefore I know God spoke to me to tell me "I AM SAVED". We cannot put God in a box; he is more than we could ever conceive. He speaks to others in other ways, my husband had a dream about our new Church building and every detail was what God had planned. Read and know scripture to understand that we not be deceived. In Jesus Name we pray for His Guidance.

A good video teaching.

hmm, I wonder is he feels called to do this... and if so who called him... scripture? Denying the work and actions of the Holy Spirit is a dangerous and cold existence... I pray all listen for His voice -- you do realise that all of scripture is God talking to His people -- why would a loving Father not talk to His children? Stay blessable?

People should not speak on what they do not understand, and be careful not to restrict the immutable God to their per-conceived opinions based in their incomplete religious experiences, assuming that God lives and operates in the box of their theological educational background. God deals with each of us differently, mainly because we're all individuals. If a person share his or her experiences as it relate to God's dealings with them, it is not a sign of arrogance or pride as this guy in this video alleges, but rather a bearing of witness to God's power working on their behalf! As a matter of fact, Paul every opportunity he got, he shared his testimony concerning his conversion and how the Lord spoke to him! Paul in his defense at Jerusalem mentioned how the Lord spoke to him audibly on the road of Damascus in front of a large group of people and some of them were ready to Kill him because they didn't believe such things were possible (Acts.22:1; 6-10) If one would read the whole chapter one will see that God both audibly and by a disciple name Ananias spoke to Paul, in either case it was The Lord speaking! Hearing an audible voice from the Lord doesn't make a person special nor does it mean they're somehow trying to make themselves special, on the contrary, it reveals that God is immutable in all that He is and unchangeable in His timeless eternal marvelous capabilities! As the New Testament reveals "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb.13:8). As a matter of fact the Holy Spirit is the ONE who does the speaking, either it be in an audible voice, by a person, by an angel, by a dream or a vision, it's all the Spirit's work (See: Acts.13:2; 8:29) As Jesus pointed out in Matthew 10:20, "For it is not yes that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you" Are we now to usurp our man-made faulty theology above the authority of the Scriptures and say, the Holy Spirit's right to speak in His children is no more? And where is it written that we are to keep this wonderful work of the Spirit to ourselves fearing want others might think of us, or where is it written that if we share such a wonderful work of the Spirit in our lives that it some how makes us egotistical? As it is written, (Amos.3:8)"... The Lord has spoken! Who can but prophesy?" Are we as Christians to ignore the words of Jesus? Matthew 10:27,"What I tell you in darkness, that speak yes in light: and what yes hear in the ear, that preach yes upon the housetops" If God's audible voice in us testifies out of mouths to the Glory of Jesus Christ! How can anyone define that as unfitting and egotism? Respectfully these foolish Questions pose in these videos are complete nonsense and have nothing to do with spreading the message of Jesus Christ and His free gift of grace to the world, but rather founding fault with others. Typical religious mind-set, ‘having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof’ … ‘Ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of truth’ No disrespect intended, nevertheless we do learn by contrast!

Rev. 22:19 "if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from theholy city and from the things which are written in this book."
