Susan...Houston, Tx. My sister, a Catholic, had an experience 13 months ago while in a hospital ICU...She says. that, when she turned her head one way, she saw "awful things and people" and "the dark things of her past" and could feel "tremendous heat." Then, when she turned her head the other way, she saw "a white light, full of love and peace, beaconing her to come toward it." During this time, she could hear the alarms going off in her room and knew people were running in to work on her. This happened more than once. ( She was gravely ill.) Concerned that she may have experienced an encounter with Hell, I asked her if she had ever been born-again--a subject I had discussed with her on and off for 25 years. She responded, "I don't know what that means." I was SHOCKED: I had shared so much about this in the past. [ I then stated that she must find out what it means to be born-again and settle this in her life: I provided Scripture passages for her review. By the way, she had stayed in ICU for several days. About a week later, when she saw her doctor for a follow-up appointment, he told her that "he was surprised to see her alive".

Boy, does she ever have an imagination! With not an ounce of scriptural truth! Sorry folks - we do not get a second chance - either we are ushered into the Lord's presence or into hell where we'll be tormented forever and forever.

Russell Ramos - IDK , did not mean to offend. God is not subject to time, I know and have seen a person die, & stay DEAD, for 37 minutes. He is alive today, saved, and has no recollection of those 37 minutes. Was he face to face with Jesus Christ? I believe so, because Gods' Word says to be absent from the body, is to be present with Jesus Christ. WHY ...was he given a 2nd chance? It is appointed unto man ONCE to die, and then the judgement. Too much controversy on this site, too much division, it's why I had to stay away for awhile. Yet I had to answer this one, because my friend was DEAD, period. Perhaps there are things outside of time, God knows the finite mind is incapable of comprehending, but the fact is, many people have had these experiences, and have gone on to pass 50, in one case several hundred lie detector tests? Jesus Rocks, I love God, and His Grace is sufficient in all situations. I agree with most of your' reply, but I will not put GOD in a box.

Jim Loeffert Oh yes there are some things that are impossible with God: 1. He cannot Lie 2. He cannot do anything that is contrary to His holy nature 3. He doesn't make mistakes. IF you believe what God has revealed about death, salvation, heaven, and hell, then you CANNOT believe that this woman's story is true. Think of the irreparable damage her story can do in making people think that they will be given a second chance to get saved after they die (contrary to scripture)! Oh, and BTW, Paul saw heaven, but he was also a believer, saved by grace through faith. IF this lady actually went to hell, then she was not saved and therefore, God, who cannot lie or do anything contrary to His holy nature, COULD NOT have brought her into His heaven...because HE IS HOLY! It is more believable to think that she had some very vivid dreams/thoughts (when she was NEAR death) based on the Bible truths that she has been previously exposed to about heaven and hell. We do not have the power to help unbelievers with cooky "experiences" that run contrary to the clear Word of God. Our means of helping unbelievers is bringing them the truths of what is written in God's word...not stories that will cause them to later doubt when the learn that the story contradicts the Word of God!

Touching story; but, I call hogwash on it. Though heaven and hell are true, what she claims cannot be according to scripture. Heaven and hell are real. The Bible tells us so. The Bible also tells us that God cannot lie, that He is holy, and that He does not make mistakes. Here are some things from God’s word that cause me to seriously doubt this woman’s story: Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. The point is: Once death happens, there is no second chance. You are either saved before you die or you are in not. For the saved: 2 Cor 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. For the unsaved: Luke 16:22b-23a …the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments…. Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Ok, so here’s the deal…IF she had gone to Hell when she died, then she was clearly NOT written in the Lamb’s book of life. If that is the case, then her sin is not under the blood. There is no way that God would bring an unregenerate sinner into His heaven. Again, the things God cannot do: 1) Lie, 2) Anything that goes against His holy nature, and 3) make a mistake. IF her “story” is true (which it cannot be), then God: 1) Lied about death, what happens when we die, and about salvation, 2) is not holy, and 3) has obviously made mistakes…all of which I am certain He did not. Romans 3:3,4b For what if some did not belive? Shal their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written….

I do believe that there are things that our heavenly father does in his sovereignty that we can't not explain. Roman 9:15 “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So It could very well be possible that God chose to have Mercy on this Women for HIS Glory.

This women is a heretic. Do not base her testimony off her experience, but test it with scripture. And it is not sound with what Jesus and the Old Testament teaches. Hell is eternal (Revelation 14:9-11, Matthew 25:46, 2 Thessalonians 1:9), and you cannot therefore get out once you are in AFTER the judgement (Which this lady apparently was't). And no one has ever gone into heaven and back to testify about these things, EXCEPT JESUS (John 3:13). Her "experience" is false.

Albert I love her story, but you make a valid point about trusting in the word. Thank you

Chris Newbern, God heard her last cry of repentance. what an awesome God we serve.

Since many are saying only go by what you read in the bible. So, the bible records many, many, personal testimonies. Like Paul, who wrote most of the N.T. This precious woman just shared hers. Rev. 12: 11 plainly says we overcome him. (satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. I call her an overcomer! I suggest you criticizers Go get a testimony and stop picking imagined splinters out of overcomer's eyes.

I would have to say that the only thing that matters is scripture, NOT personal experiences. The heart is deceitfully wicked, who can know it?
