Please pray for Malaysia, where this cute video was made for its 2007 National Day celebrations. Christians are being persecuted here with the complicity of the government. Recently, a Malay-Muslim newspaper accused Christians of a plot to turn Malaysian into a Christian state and install a Christian Prime Minister (which is quite ambitious, since Christians make up 9% of the population versus at least 53% Muslims). Nevertheless, the government investigated the Christians! Christians have also been threatened with a Perang Jihad (violent version of a holy war) by an extremist group allied with the government. The government has declared that no action is going to be taken against the group. On 9 July, civil rights groups are staging a demonstration calling for free and fair elections, but the government has made veiled threats and in the last such demo had fired water cannons and teargas into the completely peaceful demonstrators.
