Michelle Jernice Flowers Don't want to beat a dead horse here, but very briefly- 1) KJV is a pretty darn good LITERAL translation of the greek- meaning word by word translated, that's why it sounds funny because the words are in greek sentence order, not in english order usually. 2) AFTER the KJV was written, we got many Christian businessmen with tonnes of money in Europe who funded MANY trips and archeological digs to Israel/middle east/turkey which ended up produces TONNES of old manuscripts and fragments of the bible- these were far older than the ones used to write the KJV. The biggest shocker was the different wording in some of these verses. The older manuscripts (older = closer to when the New Testament was actually written) were checked and scholars agreed that they were more accurate than the Latin version the KJV came from. This is when you start having other bible versions pop up, because scholars realized the KJV had some very minor errors in it. There are very slight differences between tonnes of ancient manuscripts found so scholars decide which one is more correct through a couple criteria 1- which one is older (older= better) 2- which one is most widespread (agrees with most of the other manuscripts found) 3 - which is clearly the orginal from which all others deviated (for example if you had 5 manuscripts each having a different word in the same place and the 5 words were food, bread, sustenance, fool, foot- you could see how scholars would choose the word "food" as correct- because all other words used are synonyms or spelling errors with similar looking letters). All that to say, the KJV is sufficient for salvation but there are others that are more accurate to the original words God-breathed to the biblical authors. Of course, no one cares that much because we believe God has the power to "preserve" his word to us even if our translations aren't 100% correct and besides, our Christian belief and walk isn't proven in the bible, it's proven in our personal relationship with God. The bible is the guide we use on our journey.

Anne Peters - already you're running into problems because the greek doesn't say fear, the greek says "phobos" (dative form). This is often translated as more than simple "fear". Too many people translating individual words instead of languages.

Good Job bro! as a man that's been married 9 years to his first/only wife you're right on. Because of the truths behind the words you speak our marriage is BETTER after 9 years than it was in first couple! Keep speaking the truth!

I hate this rhyming turd. What about nonreligious couples who are married who obviously don't "have jesus as their foundation"? Are their marriages based on nothing? It's absolutely incorrect to say that marriage should be based on superstition when in reality its based on love between people.

I love the message his spoken word has and it is really spot on. However, his talent level is honestly sub par. If he continues with it and gives it more practice, I'm sure his talent will eventually reach the heights of his message.

I have the Greek in front of me and the most trustworthy Greek texts for Ephesians say, "Submit to one another in fear to Christ."

Very nice, I like the part about marriage is not just for our enjoyment but is to make us holy. Marriage is a gift which is to mirror our relationship with God.
