I too have cheated death, but in an extremely selfish way. I attempted suicide. The pain started when I was very young. I lived a childhood of extreme physical and mental abuse by my Father, almost daily. At the age of 14 I had my first of 4 major back surgeries. At 15, I was in a horrific car accident, 3 children died, I was driving. At 16, my sister was killed in a plane crash. At 24, my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident along with his passenger. At the age of 42 , I had my last back surgery that has left me disabled. I have been in a very difficult and unhappy marraige for 27yrs. I selfishly couldn't take anymore pain. So I overdosed deliberately on my pain medication. God apparently wasn't ready for me. I have just recently become a believer, I was baptized on Nov. 20,2011. My heart goes out to the family of Ben, but I too believe with all my being, that he is in a much better place. I look forward to someday meeting you Ben, your story has been a huge inspiration. May the Lord bless you and your family....I will keep you all in my prayers.

Thank you to the Breedlove family for sharing this video But most importantly I Thank YOU Ben for being courageous to share this video before you left this earth to be with Jesus. And Yes I do believe in God and in Angels! To God be the Glory.

Many blessings to Ben's parents. We are all faced with stresses in our lives. I can only imagine yours. May God bless your New Year.........if we do not have faith in God, we have nothing.

The video plays too fast to read the comments.

Oh I hope he was soundly saved.......many non-christians also have very similar experiences with light and feeling good and don't want to return to their bodies.....BUT if they are not saved they will stand judged! I guess this may touch our hearts but surely Jesus would have Ben proclaim the same thing he came to earth to do 2000 years ago.....call people to repent & believe....the truth of the Gospel message is the power of God to change lives and who knows how many thousands might have heard this for the first time thru His video. All glory to the one so kind to save a wretch like me.....may you truely be in His arms, Ben.

So sad. I start to forget how much I should cherish each day and the wonderful people that surround me. I'm so blessed to only have minor problems and should remember that no matter what happens people have it worse than me.

The song is Mad World. It was originally sung by Tears for Fears but best known done by Gary Jules. It is used in lots of TV episodes. Adam Lambert also recorded a version of it.

Rebecca Evenbeck It doesn’t say anywhere in the bible in which we are given a certain amount of days. You don’t know where it’s at because it’s not in there. God did know when he was gonna die, but that doesn’t mean that God wanted him to die. Scripture says in 1 Peter 4 that it is not God's will that any perish, but that all come to repentance. We know people are perishing and that it's not God's will, so we know that God's will does not always come about. Next, you need to know that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was not an illness. The bible never said that it was. The reason why you think it was is because you pastor and friends told you it was. You won’t find in the bible. The word “thorn” had been used before in the Old Testament in the book of Ezekiel and it was regarding persecution, not illnesses. The thing is, you are taught by your church and other churches what you’re telling me right now. The thing is, it’s not what the bible teaches. The bible tells you to Heal the sick, but you sit back and think that God is going to randomly heal people, depending upon if He’s in a good mood that day. The thing is, miracles happen all over the world in Christianity, cancer, blind eyes, etc. But the problem is, we don’t see nearly as much miracles in the Christian Churches in the U.S. Something is wrong with the Christianity in the U.S. because it’s not looking the church found in the New Testament or the rest of the world. It just goes to show you that even bible school doesn’t make one a superior Christian. Most Christians in third world counties have no bible school, but they are living the life and seeing results of the Christians in the New Testament, while Christians in the west or America, see very few miracles and blessing.. American Christians need an overhaul..

As Jesus said about Lazarus before resurrecting him, Ben sleeps. (John 11:11, 14). He sleeps until the resurrection. That is a peaceful thought. Sorry about your loss. Be comforted with Paul's words in 1 Thess.4:13-18.
