Christian Teen Shares Final Thoughts Before His Death

Gage Gillam You're right, Gage. GodTube did not create the title. My mistake in stating that. But a title does not mean anything. It's just a title. The life is what matters, and when it comes to Christianity it's not about being a cute kid who helped young girls with dating advice, or who saw a white room and felt "peace." All that matters is whether or not a person turned from his rebellion against God and trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior (John 3:3). Once a person does that the life shows it. I know a lot of people--hundreds--that give themselves the title of "Christian," but no one would accuse them of it. Again, I'm not trying to bring more sadness to this already sad story. The issue I'm raising goes beyond Ben Breedlove. What prompted my original post wasn't only the title. It was the unquestioned acceptance of the title by many of the comments by others, simply because Ben had these "dreams" and said he believed in God on a white card. In a nation that is fast losing sight of, and rejecting, its Founding history, it's important to make it clear that the kind of biblical Christianity that made America great, is the only type that will bring us back to greatness (in God's eyes).

Obviously, Ben had a testimony... I pray that his family will find comfort knowing that he got to testify to the glory of heaven. What a beautiful story! To all of my family and friends, please watch....

Praise God and I thank him for Ben. His story has inspired me. I will be praying for your family that they may have the peace that transcends all understanding through Christ Jesus. Thank you for sharing.

...I am a priest and I was so moved by Ben's video. Certainly he is already resting in peace in God's glory. I do not know his family but I am thankful for his testimony. The video kept my mind busy reflecting upon the value of the ONE AND ONLY LIFE I have. I have my life dedicated to God as a priest assigned here in Argentina. As we finish this year with a celebration, for sure, I'll be adding to my homily Ben's testimony. To Ben's family and friends, I hope that your faith is stronger than the pain caused by this loss. Let love and all the memories lived together with your son, brother, friend be much stronger than the sentiment and emotion that arises upon Ben's death. Let Jesus fulfill His promise upon you. Men has always been awed by the existence of death, most of us have a lot unanswered questions about this matter: Philosophical science has attempted to understand profoundly about death, Medicine has fought to win over death...and the answer has come up to be not only complicated, but also impossible. Only an open mind, seen from the point of view of faith can help us give an answer. An answer that certainly will not resolve ALL problems but could fill us with faith and hope, when it talks to us about eternal life. Faith reveals to us the secret of our reality: that death does not leave us in a void. Death brings us to God, to eternal life. Believe in eternal life means that I accept that one day I will be freed from evil, to be definitely saved. This gives peace, serenity and sense of being. While you pray that Ben may encounter eternal happiness in eternal life, ask God to give you the strength to go on happy. God bless you all!

God bless his family as they miss Ben. Thank you Ben for this glimpse of heaven and thank you God for watching over all of us. May his faith and his wisdom help reassure us that someday we'll go home to be with our Lord as well. In Jesus name I pray for all of us and especially for those that have to say goodbye to children.

One more very important thing I would like to add, It's only by the GRACE of GOD that I am here today. I praise Him everyday for being a forgiving God. He forgave me for my sins, even when I couldn't. PRAISE God in the HIGHEST!

I too have cheated death, but in an extremely selfish way. I attempted suicide. The pain started when I was very young. I lived a childhood of extreme physical and mental abuse by my Father, almost daily. At the age of 14 I had my first of 4 major back surgeries. At 15, I was in a horrific car accident, 3 children died, I was driving. At 16, my sister was killed in a plane crash. At 24, my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident along with his passenger. At the age of 42 , I had my last back surgery that has left me disabled. I have been in a very difficult and unhappy marraige for 27yrs. I selfishly couldn't take anymore pain. So I overdosed deliberately on my pain medication. God apparently wasn't ready for me. I have just recently become a believer, I was baptized on Nov. 20,2011. My heart goes out to the family of Ben, but I too believe with all my being, that he is in a much better place. I look forward to someday meeting you Ben, your story has been a huge inspiration. May the Lord bless you and your family....I will keep you all in my prayers.

Thank you to the Breedlove family for sharing this video But most importantly I Thank YOU Ben for being courageous to share this video before you left this earth to be with Jesus. And Yes I do believe in God and in Angels! To God be the Glory.

Many blessings to Ben's parents. We are all faced with stresses in our lives. I can only imagine yours. May God bless your New Year.........if we do not have faith in God, we have nothing.

The video plays too fast to read the comments.

  • 2011-12-30T13:27:05

Oh I hope he was soundly saved.......many non-christians also have very similar experiences with light and feeling good and don't want to return to their bodies.....BUT if they are not saved they will stand judged! I guess this may touch our hearts but surely Jesus would have Ben proclaim the same thing he came to earth to do 2000 years ago.....call people to repent & believe....the truth of the Gospel message is the power of God to change lives and who knows how many thousands might have heard this for the first time thru His video. All glory to the one so kind to save a wretch like me.....may you truely be in His arms, Ben.

So sad. I start to forget how much I should cherish each day and the wonderful people that surround me. I'm so blessed to only have minor problems and should remember that no matter what happens people have it worse than me.
