Live and Love Simply

I lost my mom, dad, and twin sister, at various ages when I was a young man, I got to say goodbye to my mom at the hospital and was there to the end. If I think about that moment, or watch a movie where somebody is going through the same thing, it brings tears to my eyes. Probably from 18 to 54 I didnt live a life that they would of been proud of, but the last 4 years, I have turned around, and today is better than yesterday, I am always striving to be a better person, and love one another and to seek God's will. It is true, part of living is dealing with the loss of love ones, but, I say, if you need some light or reflection on something read page 99- bottom half of page- of the book, 12 steps and 12 traditions.

Your words were profound and really choked me up. I totally understand what you mean. God Bless You! Your mother raised a young man with a good caring heart and by this she will continue to live through you. Your words hit it on the nail when you said, "LIVE SIMPLY SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN LIVE" AMEN.

You did make the right choice, and I hope you never doubt that.... after all, the bible says' ''my times are in YOUR hands'' and God would not have taken her ''home'' if it had not been her time... no matter what the doctor's said, I truly believe that. And being a mom, I know how your mom would have ''just known'' you loved her.. so don't worry about not telling her before had, she knew anyway, that's a mom's sixth sense, God bless you dear.

What a wonderful tribute to your mother! And what a wonderful man she has raised. What you have learned from this experience will be a blessing for the rest of your life. And by letting her go you made a final totally unselfish act for her. She knows and I'm sure she is proud. I had to make this same decision for my dad and I know how difficult it can be. It is an act of love and unselfishness to make a decision that is best for someone else even though it will be extremely painful for you. You are a good man. Thank you for sharing your story to remind everyone how important it is to let others know we care while we can. May God bless you!

I don't know how I came across this video, but it is what I needed. June 2008, I was standing in the same situation, making a decision that would haunt me. I remember closing my eyes and signing a paper on the clipboard. My mother just turned 50, just accepted Christ as her Savior, and two weeks prior was baptized and I wasn't there. I had so much to tell my mother. I had so many apologies and forgiveness to ask for. I was so alone. I started praying by her side. I told her how thankful and lucky I was to have her as a mother. My apologies started flowing and told her how much I loved her. I looked up and my mother and I made eye contact. The same kind of eye contact you make when your children are born. I felt her love as she smiled and slipped away. Alone. Still to this day, everyday, I wonder if I made the right decision, and remember her last smile. I needed this video to help with closure. I needed this video, Happy Birthday Mom.

I just want you to know that no matter what..a mother knows how much our kids love us..we see it in their smile, we see it in the look on their face, we hear it in their voice, we feel it in our hearts..our kids are God's best gift..I know your mom knew you were their and she trusted you to make the right desicion and you did..you left it in the hands of God ♥She raised you well and it shows..this video will touch many hearts ♥ From a mom who knows..

Thank you for sharing your story with us. This reminds me also when our dad left us 3 yrs ago,dec 24,2008 to be exact. The same situation, the same decision to make. It was really hard. But with God's guidance,we went through it. And though we still miss our dad, just thinking that he is now out of pain, happy and at peace with Our Almighty Father, that helps us go on with our lives with him looking and praying for us from above. God is good all the time...God bless us all!!!
