REASONS (PEOPLE DON'T GO TO CHURCH)

I totally agree with you Kennie.That's why I watch SBN EVERY SUNDAY for church. Also Francis and Friends.They preach THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS......

I am so sorry for what has happened to you in the Churches you have been to. Remember we all need to fight the Goliaths in our lives like David did. We have to be strong and overcome judgement and betrayal just like Mary and Joseph did. Take the time to read your Bible and it will all start to make sense. God wants us to be couragous and wants us to flourish. Think positive and know that God has a plan for all of us and if someone or something is interfering let go and leave it at the cross. Pray and ask God for wisdom and strength to get you though. You are never alone.

I lost everything a home, car, and all my worldly possessions. I have been telling the lord how much I miss church but no car to get there. So life happened and I can no longer get there. So I find solace watching Godtube to get church to me.

I agree with everything in this video. But I do not see it is a tool for an outreach in a specific community. It is more of a public announcement to make people think - well yes, I better try going to a church. To me to reach out to a community you first need to have a church that tries being accepting, inclusive, helping people in need,... Does your community have a church like that? Is your church like that? I think mine is. I am just afraid that it might be almost like a false advertizement if one generalizes it to all churches... I wonder what did the creators of the video have in mind - what kind of outreach, where?

What I see below is exactly why many 'seekers' do not come to church, or stay once they tried, we can be so quick to judge someone else for what they did, but so slow to see what we ourselves do that is just as sinful or worse. This video is only to help warm the un-churched to the idea of church as a body. Not to say all churches are this way or that way, or to promote universal ism. When I viewed the video, I was thinking, "Is my church accepting to everyone?" If they don't come in, they may not hear the Gospel and see how it is lived out.

Preach it plain and from the Bible without watering it down or it is worse than useless. It is our duty to correct falsehoods even in the church, to question what seems out of order. The gravest mistake I see however, is when this is done out of the scope of the biblical ways to do it. If you are going to proclaim something is out of line, align yourself correctly to do so. Everything decently and in order. And don't forget to do all with and in love.

I liked your video as non- church people have a wrong perspective of church and Jesus. The church needs to reach the community with the right perspective. Lets learn to be fishers of men not live in a church bubble -

Once many people are in church they want to keep the doors closed to keep the sinners out. I was told one day by a pastor that I was not attending Church if I was not where he was. But his Church had been taken away and we were meeting in an old military bar. I used to climb a hill in Ohio where the only thing at the top (besides the awesome views) was an old wooden cross with stones stacked up at its base. That felt like Church to me where the bar did not. But Jesus would have held Church anywhere and most of the time it was not in a building "classified" as a Church because he did not need to save the believers.

there are those that have doubts and stop going to church based on past experiences.this video is saying noone is perfect you can be someone who is judgemental and your still welcomed because God will still help you.The bible say's to watch 4 sheep in wolf clothing yes some are bad churches corrupted I been there but God reopened my Heart to try church again I need the extra help.the video wasn't claiming all are hypocrits it's saying no matter what walk of life you are your still welcome no matter what you done.

I will not attend church on the first day of the week..Sundays are for the worship of the sun God. When I find a Christian church that worships on the Sabbath (Saturday) Then I will attend again...God bless.

For the past 6 years, I have attended a seeker in the Kansas City area. For years one of our associate pastor, Jim was from Michigan. He was not a fan on the Chiefs and their red color. That is okay, I am not a fan either. Well one morning when I sat behind one of the church video before the first Sunday morning service (I operated during the service.), Jim said from the church stage infront of a small crowd, Red socks are no longer allowed in our church. He said anyone caught wearing red socks would be asked to leave. I knew he was joking, but he sounded like he wasn't. Well, that week, I talked to the churches reeceptionist. Her husband is a retire Marine. I told her what the pastor said and I wanted her help to get even with him. She sent a email to the church staff. It said in honor of the men and women serving in our Armed Forces that Friday was red t-shirt day. She also wrote, "Don't forget to wear red socks". That pastor now lives in Arizona. It had nothing to do with what he said in church. I miss him and his crocky sense of humor. By the way my church only requires people clothes, rather it jeans and a t-shirt or a suit and tie.

You may find this a curious comment, since it is from an atheist. Anyway, though I'm no believer and never was one, and though *some* churches are really interested in your money more than anything else (humans are fallible...), and *some* churches are intolerant (which, incidentally, should *never* happen), ans *some* churches teach wildly erroneous things, nonetheless I remember one time when I was, along with my family, a guest in a small neighborhood church somewhere in the US. It was really about relationship, and, I should say, about human relationship perhaps as much as about relationship with God. It was a very sweet assembly of gentle, nice people caring about each others. This was humanity at its best.

@ Micheal Ferguson, Amazing how he sites it is all about Christ but his entire argument is based on his own experience. The church is still the tool in the hand of Jesus to set people free, to love and accept people.To restore their relationship to God. So some churches gets it horribly wrong, but not lets shoot the church down, it is already difficult as it is without your smug remarks. Pray for the church. Maybe you make more negative comments on such platforms than praying for the church that is why the church is in the condition that it is huh?
